Please provide update on TVD immediately

Nothing announced by school. Just what I saw on TV today and recall seeing in other collarbone injuries.

Let‘s hope it’s a bruise or something that can heal quickly (relatively).

Collarbone was my first thought also based on the way he walked off. I doubt we see TVD again this season, unfortunately. I hope I’m wrong of course.

Couple thoughts from me:

* It looked to me that Garcia only gets first team reps on 4 - 5 plays per week. Twice now he's come in and looked good on the first couple drives then did not look good after that. It would be interesting to see if he's the #1 guy for the whole week and see if that changes anything.

* Jacurri Brown has now played in 3 games this season. If he plays one more play this season he loses his redshirt. That would put him in the same class at Jake Garcia.

Redshirts are a thing of the past. Nobody that has pro potential stays more than 2 complete seasons

Could he apply for a medical to get an extra year? so he would be able to play 2 years there?

Amazing how quickly some clamored for Garcia after TVD had a ****e start to the season and then Garcia is immediately crucified when he has a ****e game.

Garcia has an adequate arm IMHO. He has limited live action experience at the college level. He is clearly not a plug and play QB.

TVD needed several games after King went down to adjust and develop a rhythm. It's gonna take a game or 3 before we truly know what Jake can do as the #1.

Give this kid a chance and bear in mind that he has the worst OL I have ever seen at Miami
(the immediate post Errrickson years included).

His post-game interview on WQAM was not impressive.

I'm glad someone else caught that post game from him. After listening to him I said if he ends up the voice of the team we will be mocked. He needs to work on his presence and delivery. That was shameful. Or he may just have been shell-shocked from the ***-whooping and embarrassment he took. Let's see what he sounds like after a win if it ever graces him

I think you misread what I was saying. The poster mentioned him transferring to SMU with Lash. I said could he get a medical so he could play 2 years there.

And you can't blame Garcia for the same. He gets a pass just like TVD gets a pass.

I would still take Garcia. **** he has the same receivers that can't get separation and took some smashes from that vaunted Duke line. Garcia has had two games in mop up and not working with ones and you expect more than you got. It is obvious this guy is the real deal and would succeed in any sort of competent offense.

1 question though….
I understand that he would schemed around our O-line deficiencies, but what would Lane have done about our back 7 on D?
It’s a valid question because he’s given up 35 ppg in the last 3 vs mediocre offenses (LSU, Auburn,Vandy).
