Pitt opens as 10 point favorite

Yes, our defense is abysmal. NCST still gashed us big time yesterday. Ran it pretty successfully against us. Wide open receivers all night. Our 3rd down defense was the surprise last night. They were only 3-14 on 3rd down. All other P5 teams we played have been right at 50% or better converting 3rd downs.

We also were fortunate with some key dropped passes. Our tackling was also better than it has been. Maybe we aren’t the worst tackling team in the nation now.

If we were able to win last night, then we have a chance against Pitt, even with our incompetent DC. I’m hoping Pitt comes out flat and unfocused. Probably wishful thinking.
NC State didn't run successfully against us. Take away the 40 yard fake punt and NC State ran for 71 yards on 21 carries. That's 3.4 yards/rush which includes a 23 yard run. So, on the other 20 carries, NC State ran for 48 yards (2.4 yds/rush).

I always enjoyed games at Pitt. One of the few places never had to deal with unruly fans, could take the kids to the games. Even Rutgers and Temple had unruly fans. Never dealt with that at any Pitt games. Of course it was like half asian back then.

the the points
BTW please play A.Williams and keep G.Hall on the bench

Yep...Pitt just enjoyed their biggest win in recent memory and won't be quite as sharp imo. Must keep an eye on Addison's availability too.
Apparently you missed the Pitt win over eventual National Champion Clemson back in 2016....................
