You're not seeing the real issue here which is the fact that our D line are playing pattycake-contain type football that they did under donofrio. There's no penetration from them. Even from players who got it done in the previous year. Its coaching. Its the scheme they're forced to play in. They're not being used properly and aren't developing.

Defense has a stupid 3rd down package where they bring in 3 ends to try and bum rush. I watched Rousseau line up over the center and get double teamed trying to rush in. Its mindblowingly retarded. The coaches aren't playing fundamental football. It's all gimmicks.

The linebackers are completely useless in our gimmick scheme and every team we play knows it. They are constantly taking bad angles, and shooting the wrong gaps. The middle of the field is always open. Pinckney practically started to line up facing the sidelines knowing hes just going into man coverage.

Same thing with the rotating. Constantly bringing guys on and off the field. Pick the 11 best and let them start to synchronize together. So frustrating.

Don't blame the players. Its the inept coaches.

And I wasn’t even referring to his penalties.... his presence on the field is void/nothing/zero. I saw their OT Consistently pushing him 5 yards off the LOS. How does this man see any playing time at all? He’s not your typically smart, overachieving token white guy... he’s just sucks. There is nothing about his game that is noteworthy.

Only thing I can think of he is letting Hill work into game shape while appearing to show the locker room that if you work hard you will start. Yank Patchan in a week or two and say Hill has took looked better we are all about competition. Any other reason is nuts.

Come on man, didn’t you hear the glowing review the coaches gave him, “he’s reliable.” That’s exactly what you’re looking for from a DE
 
Said it all summer --- kid as just another guy = appreciate him bc he is a cane however play younger kids

Surely you can see the defense played awful against one of the worst offenses in the country, right?

CMU had 58 yards of total offense against Wiscy. There’s no way with a QB making his second start that they should’ve been able to convert 3rd/4th downs like that. Bakers scheme and personnel decisions are a ****** joke.

Rousseau doesn’t play enough, and Garvin is not a nickel CB.

I remember paying attention to him one play and he just couldn’t disengage off a tackle during a pass play it was actually comical

I want to see what Harvey has. Garvin looks like he is sleep walking during these games. Zero emotion by our team across the board. DJ Dallas is the only guy who plays with emotion. Maybe they get back to playing with emotion once we start these conference games at home.

Defense only gives up 10 points.

Offense struggles all day, O Line can’t open holes, can’t even put up 20 on Central Michigan.

Therefore, bench Patchan.
