My post had nothing to do with our team’s performance. Obviously most here accusing others of not using logic have no logic themselves. Post was simply that Patchan is pure trash. Other offenses must get excited when they scout him.... soooo much to exploit.

CMU had 58 yards of total offense against Wiscy. There’s no way with a QB making his second start that they should’ve been able to convert 3rd/4th downs like that. Bakers scheme and personnel decisions are a ****** joke.

Rousseau doesn’t play enough, and Garvin is not a nickel CB.

I agree with you, but what I dont agree with is taking it out on Patchan. He's a solid run stopping DE, that can sack a QB on a play action. This team is missing Kuligowski's training up front. I dont think Patch should be our 1st choice SDE, but the kid isnt starting himself. The D has had a rough start to the season, but at the end of the day, they gave up 10 points, meanwhile our O is the 2nd coming of Mark Richt.

And I remember some dumb *** poster claiming Miami’s DE’s would wreck havoc this year...wait..that was me, uh never mind.

Patchan - JAG. Solid at run, should not be in on 3rd downs ever
Garvin - overrated massively coming into the season. Not even sure how to grade him but we all agree he has been a disappointment so far this year
Rosseau - legit talent, could actually become the monster he was hyped up to be. Should not be in the DT spot on 3rd downs, should be at end
Hill - like his passion but production is weak so far. Better show up for revenge against VT

Part of it is scheme though. I dont agree with 3 man rush or slow *** safety blitz (**** these awful safety blitz calls) on third down. Rush 4 or blitz LB's for 5/6 to overwhelm them. Don't need to be too cute

People talk **** of sh*t about the linebackers but they ain’t never had no effort on a play like garvin did on that play where he was just walking and gave up during the middle of the play

It’s not just Patchan. All of our DE’s are underachieving (save Rousseau). Garvin runs himself out of sacks. Hill just hasn’t been that guy he was at VT. Rousseau has been good, but let’s face it, he hasn’t been as good as they have been billing him as last year. Patchan’s issue isn’t athleticism. He chases a lot downfield so he has speed. His problem is he runs right at the OT as if he is looking to bull rush. He doesn’t have the strength or hand play to disengage.
