OT: What's your favorite city in Florida other than Miami?

For the Destin, FWB, SoWal people....if you like natural beauty and pristine beaches you should check out Port St Joe & Cape San Blas area. It's east of Panama City & Tyndall AFB. It's like stepping into a time machine and going back 50+ years to how FL was. St Joe bay is pristine (only bay on the E GOM with no freshwater intrusion). The Cape is a spit of land that separates the Gulf from the Bay. Truly a magical place!!!

Great addition.
Haven’t made it but want to. We usually hit St. George Island which includes an appalachicola (sp ?) visit

Cedar key I stay there every other year on Friday night on my way to Tallahassee for the game

What the **** is a "black beach" ?

Pretty sure he’s referring to a black sand beach. For example there’s a black sand beach crossing the Golden Gate bridge just north of San Francisco. Although I’ve been to California many times, I don’t go to the beach normally so I’ve never been to a black sand beach in Cali.

There are beautiful black sand beaches (mostly ground up black lava) on the big island and even a green sand beach (the sand is full of olivine crystals)

Coral Gables!

If you got buck$ yes it's nice but you pay (2) property taxes CG and Miami Dade other then that yes it's nice, also what's nice is they have loads of restrictions so it doesn't turn into another Hialeah.

Count me in when it comes to the Tampa /St. Pete area. (Clearwater, ST. Pete beach, Treasure Island.)

Sarasota is nice too.

In December though I will be vacationing in the Miami area again and will be going up to Hollywood beach and my new favorite beach Deerfield beach.

Tallahassee. Best public parks system in the state and once you get outside of campus it’s the best place to raise a young family

I'm a huge history buff too and agree 100% re St. Augustine. I live about 15mins from there now and absolutely love that town.
I live in the Atlanta area, but my wife and I head down to St. Augustine every year. We both just love it there. Plan to move that area in the near future

Count me in the Destin crowd. I live in Atlanta but have a place in Miramar Beach and was there this past weekend. Spent the entire weekend seeking out people with FSpoo gear and telling them "See U next Saturday"

Prior military, been stationed in FWB, Tampa and Cocoa Beach, lived in FLA since 1972, I have to go with Ft Walton Beach/Destin. Old school Florida living, gorgeous beaches, great fishing, great food. Laid Back living
