OT: What's your favorite city in Florida other than Miami?

Destin, lived there my last 2 years of high school and was a beautiful place. Hate the bama/auburn fans but an awesome place.

Tampa
Destin
currently stationed at Eglin AFB live in crestview
Went to school with all Eglin and Hurlburt kids, most of them had gone to 2-3 high schools and were either from Avianao or Ramstein overseas. Hard to make friends especially since I was only there 2 years.

Killing time while we count down to the 63rd renewal for this Sunshine State rivalry.

Born and raised in North Florida, so I'm gonna stay with what I know:
1. Jax
2. Pensacola
3. Daytona Beach
4. Ocala (been liking it a lot more in the last week or two)

Don't like: Gainesville + Tallahassee (obvious reasons)
Boca Raton
Ft laudy
or anywhere in palm beach county

Pretty sure he’s referring to a black sand beach. For example there’s a black sand beach crossing the Golden Gate bridge just north of San Francisco. Although I’ve been to California many times, I don’t go to the beach normally so I’ve never been to a black sand beach in Cali.

There are beautiful black sand beaches (mostly ground up black lava) on the big island and even a green sand beach (the sand is full of olivine crystals)

There is a black sand beach in Jamaica but it is not from volcanic activity, truly rare. Jamaica is not formed by volcanoes but has a limestone base.

Panama City Beach (Home) and all the surrounding beach towns in a 60 mile radius. Just can’t beat em’, other than all the FSU & Bama fans around.

Destin Beaches used to be alot nicer...
One of my closest friends (Major FSU fan) has a beautiful home in Grayton Bch just west of SanDestin....South Walton beaches are nice....but No way in **** do the Emerald Coast beaches touch Sarasota's Beaches, specifically LongBoat Key & Siesta Key.....

It's all just an opinion but I'd take Grayson any day. Sarasota is like NY city now, not saying Siesta key isn't a nice beach, been there probably 20 times visiting a friend who lived there. Parking is a nightmare condo's everywhere, not my type of place.

I live in Hollywood. I like it here. Fort Lauderdale has some good spots too. I used to be in the upper Keys every weekend with my boat but it's gotten too overcrowded now. I don't enjoy it as much. I lived in Orlando for a while. It's alright. Wouldn't want to move back. I've got some buddies in St. Pete. Real nice over there.
