OT: RIP the great Eddie Van Halen

Friend of mine was the band’s merchandising manager for a period around late ‘70’s, early ‘80’s. She went on tour with them. Her parents were divorced and lived on separate coasts. She grew up on Miami Beach and in Southern California. She was a huge, and I mean huge, Hurricane fan. She passed away a few years ago.

Ignorance & class jealousy? Think about how delusional you have to be to think class jealousy & personal virtue are bigger problems than wealth redistribution when the top 20% across racial lines owns close to 90% of the wealth, while the bottom half owns only 3%? Smh

FYI..you don't know what my job is, or what my net worth entails. But it's fine, you can keep on flailing & deflecting from my pt. if it makes you feel better. Unfortunately for you there's a very big difference between believing you're knowledgable and knowing what you're talking about, and actually being it. Ahh..you dumb kook :rk5i6fxwjlgev5j6.jpg:

Dude, talk about flailing and deflecting, you bring up wealth redistribution in a thread about a rock ‘n’ roll star that died. What the fūck does it even have to do with this topic? Why even bring that up?

You’re a lousy socialist/commie piece of shlt that wants other peoples money. Hey, how about this, why don’t you fūcking work for it? You and your commie friends can suck my dlck. LOL - you're not getting anything from me.

I love Eddie Van Halen. I love the guitar, everything about it, all styles of music. I love playing it (I don’t play it well, but who cares). This guy was on another level. I loved VH as a youth but appreciated the pure genius of Eddie as an adult. Fair Warning and VH Deuce battle for top spot in my brain when listening to VH.

Completely different band to me. Great in its own right though the DLR version is my favorite. The VH 1 and 2 albums are just insane masterpieces to me.
Just my personal preference. Was never a fan of DLR. Eddie and Micheal’s background vocals were unbelievable - especially Michael.

Top 10 all time shredder.

Love this story about Beat It.

And he did the song for free.

Ain't Talkin Bout Love, Eruption Solo my faves.

Top 3 and that is putting is kindly. The combination of innovator, technical prowess and songwriting was next level. As a former guitar player, I always ask when talking about the greats for people to make the argument why he isn’t the GOAT.
