I have no idea why I feel this way but I'm kind of excited to see what MR does if Manny does in fact leave. Lots of things happening at the same time (recruiting, potentially new DC and other defensive coaches, possibly reworking the staff to hire the OC that we all want). Maybe I'm just a glutton for punishment or an eternal optimist.

Miami isn't going to spend 2 million dollars per season for a DC. Diaz makes great money for a DC at Miami. In fact, Miami blew most of their assistant budget on Kool and Diaz, hence why the rest of the staff positions defensively were filled by relative unknowns.
