OT: Miami Heat (vs. Lakers)

ok you have a point but wade carried and I mean carried the 06 team to a chip

The 06 team was loaded with veteran star talent more than any other team in the league.

The team around Wade on top of the fact that the refs sent him to the free throw line 97 times during the 06 Finals was the real reason the Heat won a championship more so than Wades talent level.

Wade averaged 40 points a game for the Heat's first chip. At that time he was one of quickest players in the league. Not to mention everything he threw up went in. That was because of him that they beat the Mavericks.

the scouting for this team is ridiculous. Kendrick Nunn was playing for u of oakland after being kicked off Illinois. robinson started out a d3 player. everyone for the most part agreed jimmy butler was not a good teammate. u snag tyler herro who honestly shouldve been a top 10 pick.

This is a special collection of talent.

This team has everything you want in A modern NBA team.

The young guys need to get more experience playing against the top teams so they can understand the speed of the game and how the windows and the level of the intensity is different they will be lights out.

This is really their 1st big game.

He had to be starting the weekend early..
Any team facing losses of Lebron, Bosh and Wade in a continuous phase the way the Heat did would have trouble. Most except for probably the Spurs and Celtics would have been hit harder.

And you’re clearly missing the point, which is even when mediocre, everyone respects the competency of the decision makers and they never let the team become bottom dwellers.

Can’t say that for Hurricanes football.

They have one playoff series win in the six years since LeBron left.

I think they’re pretty well run, too, but the hyperbole is a bit much.
Never said they went to the ECF every year. But there are a lot of aspects they have that if we saw in the Hurricanes football program, we’d look a lot different.

- terrific scouting and evaluation
- player development
- competent coaching with assistants getting poached
- management stays long-term
- elite conditioning
- player buy in

Now imagine those things being synonymous with Hurricanes football.

It's really too bad Micky Arison only went to UM probably out just going through the motions of life and seemingly has no love of Canes sports. Imagine having a guy like THAT as your most powerful booster/BoT member if he was really passionate about at minimum our football and hoops.

ok, they sucked for a little while after LeBron left. Glad to see they have bounced back, but took some time. They are winning again and have people excited. But let's keep it in perspective.
Define "not gonna do ****". This team can absolutely make the conference finals in the East. Milwaukee, Boston, Philly and Miami are head and shoulders better than anyone else in the conference. If you can avoid Milwaukee in the semis, Miami can beat Boston or Philly in a series.
yall not beating Toronto, philly, Boston nor..that puts y’all 4th imo with Brooklyn..heat play hard tho..they need another scorer imo

Why u think wade was able too get off like that?

He was a nonfactor in that series. He was the reason they beat the Pistons though.
Point is still had to double shaq on those pick n rolls..and when the heat isolate wade on the wing you cant send weak side help off shaq because he’s kill you on the glass..therefore wade feasted off 1v1 situations..which led to fouls troubles and wade to the FT line..D was amazing but shaqs presence was definitely a factor. Mavs didn’t want him to kill em

most of Wades points was at the free throw line he was going to the line more than the entire MAVs team.

Jimmy Butler and D Wade are similar in that they are perhaps two of the worst scoring shooting guards in nba history even at their prime.

Butler has a better work ethic and hustle on defense than Wade though. Wade was more athletic getting to the basket and finishing but bc of his lack of work ethic his “prime” was maybe 3 to 4 years at best.

wow, is this sarcasm? it’s all opinions but wow, not many would agree with you...

Whatever this thread is supposed be about I guess missed the blatant double dribble. might have not been mattered but would have given the Heat a extra opportunity to win.
