My point isn't that Fisher sucks. My point is, when things are on a more equal footing, he regresses to the mean. 4-3 versus Clemson, 2-1 versus Louisville (w/ Petrino), 0-1 versus UNC (w/ Fedora). Therefore, I believe that Fisher will take a hard look at the LSU job, where his offensive play-calling coupled with LSU's ability to get any kid from Louisiana it wants and Saban being his only obstacle in the SEC, could make LSU into a monster.

Explain the difference between Les Miles' results and Cuckbo's? They seem like the same guy except The Hat had to play against tougher competition every year.

Isn't that how it works though? When faced with similar talent, good coaches still win something like 50%. Even great coaches don't win all the games when faced with equal talent. Saban and Meyer rarely if ever play teams as talented as they are, so they beat most teams much more than 50% of their meetings. If they played each other 100 times, I doubt either would win more than 65%.

If it was as easy as you guys in fantasy land think it is, Texas, UF, USC, Miami etc... would all have mini Saban's of their own winning 4 out of 6 championships. Or at the very least replicate what Cuckbo has done. But since in the real world there aren't many coaches who have accomplished what Cuckbo's done, I'll celebrate him leaving to LSU while seeing FSU have to go out and try to avoid what Texas and UF and so many others have failed to do for the last decade.

It's been beaten ad nauseam, but he is not an elite coach in the same breath as Meyer or Saban. A good coach, but the scary part is, if he does leave, they could potentially do better.

He caught lighting in a bottle with Famous Rapist (largely due to the influence of then QB-coach Dameyune Craig) and then lands Cook, who is probably the best runningback in school history. Yeah, he was able to lure those guys to FSU, but they aren't going to land players of that caliber in every recruiting class. Those two have arguably been the difference in the Miami-FSU contest over the last 3 to 4 seasons, Cook in particular. Don't forget that even a fat, incompetent slob like Golden has this guy on the ropes.

Moreover, there have definitely been times this season where FSU has demonstrated lack of effort. Thomas and Sweat giving up on the Switzer TD during the UNC game is an example of such complacency. With Cook ready to bolt, I wouldn't be shocked to see Fisher move on for a fresh start somewhere.

FSU has no moral compass whatsoever. If they hire a scumbag like Briles, we're fcked. Same with Herman.

Petrino can't sit still at a job for more than 4 years either and the FSU position is attractive enough. If FSU would lure him, he would be an upgrade over Fisher too.
