On Myson Johnson-Cook

Better not. Can't say that's the approach, which it is, and than say we didn't want to pay what A&M was paying.

Get the job done for Matthews. I don't care about Cook. RBs are a dime a dozen. Matthews types are not.
I would hope that do what it takes for Matthew's you just don't know anymore. Texas a&m might see Miami not pony up for MJC and see it as chance to throw a crazy bag at Matthew's and think might won't pony up again

Mr. Turn-up D Smith still running roster building/recruiting dept…?

Thought they transitioned from his buffoonery…

Guess he hasn’t ****ed ova enuff recruits/families to really be moved…

Loyalty a ****…

Again, we better not. Losing Matthews is a bad look on multiple levels if that indeed happens. Pay him and that's it. No bull**** excuses.

Two years in a row whiffing on our #1 rb target, one who was local and MJC who we supposedly were leading on for months. Not a great look and I hope we have better backup plans than Keys.

Guys its not even summer. I know we want to get these kids locked up, but we still have a ways to go. Let's see how things shake out. If we put together another great season, we'll get ours.

Given the state of play-or-pay in the NCAA, I have no problem with these kids securing their bag. However, if it just came down to that. I'm okay with the kid going elsewhere.

Remember, what righted the ship at UM were kids like Bain, CC, Akeem, Fletch, and Toney.... These types of kids are committed to this program and have turned this program around.

Hype tweet aside (I agree it was dumb) yall don’t think Smith had a say in last years roster, or this years? lol. Two years in a row now where he’s help construct one of the most talented teams in college.

He may be cringe, but at this point the results speak for themselves.

This wasn’t bragging. It was an attempt to create excitement and buzz. Whether that was the best approach or not, I’ll leave to others to debate.

But the deal wasn’t done to Miami at that time and nobody thought it was done.

It probably drove up the price for him

Miami is obviously heartbroken. Myson Johnson-Cook has rare physical tools and they spent a lot of time recruiting him.

But this ultimately came down to GM Dennis Smith making tough roster construction decisions.

I agree with the approach. If we stay stocked with the Jackson Cantwells of the world, we will run the ball.

Two names to watch at running back are Ty Keys (Picayune, Mississippi) and Brennan Lacey (Dallas, TX).

I rather save the money for Mark Mathews and the two Chicago DT'S ( Brayden Parks and David Folorunsho) or a combo of David Folorunsho , Jamar Thompson the west boco DT and the coral cables DT.

Go Canes

This. I know social media is a big part of this now, but this dude looks like a clown way more than not. It just doesn’t seem necessary to take it to this level of amateurism. At the end of the day, did this impact the kid’s decision? Of course not. But again, it’s just unnecessary clown behavior.
If I didn’t know better I’d think he was just another Canes groupie

Just looks out of place as we’ve become a serious program

How did he flake? Visiting other schools?

I'd love to see us get more heavily involved with Kelvin Morrison?
I think he sticks with VT; he looks promising tho. Was a Merritt recruit.

He flaked by saying he’d show up and didn’t show up yet went elsewhere

Also Dennis smith tweeting while not having the deal done is ****** idiotic. This guy is such an assclown and i pray someone gets him outta the paint
Deals are never done spin the block after Auburn wins 5 games and we are undefeated with fletcher as an all american. Smart roster building don’t be overpaying for skill positions in April.

And he's getting serious attention from some real heavy hitters…Not always a huge fan of high school stats. It's what you look like when that rock is in your hand.
Rbs with good highlights are easy to find. Idk if visiting a school equates to serious attention. As stated ND already has two RBs. As does UGA. I doubt they would take his commitment rn.

Until LSU sets up an OV with him, they’re not that interested: as they’ve setup OVs with 3 other RBs, two from Louisiana.

As soon as he agreed to visit auburn , Cook turned rotten smelled terribly @Shooter McGavin like low tide.

Now we all smell it , even his ceremonial commitment SMELLED.

Some were blind to it and turned on me a fellow Cane , but thats way people get at times very emotional.

He’s portal material no doubt., he sold his soul /character / conscious all terrible things .

A fall is coming his way , when you sell your soul.
How about you go **** yourself? How does that sound?
