On Myson Johnson-Cook

Deals are never done spin the block after Auburn wins 5 games and we are undefeated with fletcher as an all american. Smart roster building don’t be overpaying for skill positions in April.
Sure, that doesn’t make it any easier or guaranteed. We just showcased ourself and no one is expecting a year 1 turnaround for auburn.

We couldn’t flip Wisconsin’s running back last year; or Cooper.

And still our rb is loaded talent acquisition/development isnt a problem at Miami never will be again

Agreed but I do have trepidations about the Dennis Smith part. I was hoping given things said in the past that his influence and roll had been diminished.
Yeah he's been terrible so far .... ooops my bad I forgot we just nailed the last two recruiting classes and portal classes and went to the championship.

This basically means Mathews is getting his bag absolutely no excuse not to get Mathew’s
Not sure how many times it needs to be said but it doesn't work this way.

Missing on a RB does not mean that those allocated funds go to an OT.

Roster construction involves money ball and while Matthews is really good and he's worth paying whatever our allocated ceiling is it doesn't mean breaking the bank. We currently have Cantwell, Ervin, and Cogdon just from the last class that all can be tackles.

Objectively, we don’t know what Ervin can be. Didn’t he miss the entire spring? Congdon was 2nd team RT but got a ton of reps at IOL as well. He very well could end up inside going forward.

But some recruitments are about more than needs
This is huge for optics esp after missing on cook
Gamble is another miss
Has to make a statement

Yall still dont know how these SEC man operate. New coaches, they needed to make a statement. Either pay up or watch them leave. I think you should pay for this guy. The size and speed is unmatched as a combo in recent memory. But as i said last offseason, i been done crying about recruiting. Win games and am good.

Disappointing but already over it.

Choosing Auburn shows he was only about the short term money. Yes, it's a lot of money, life changing if managed properly, but may be lucky to sniff the CFP at Auburn unless the CFP expands.
Lets not start that ****. Auburn could have a **** OL and he breaks it to the house and get drafted. But with how they run their offense with how wide the secondary players have to be. He is gonna have tons of room to run. He is gonna do well there. Lets not be UF and FSU fans who cant think logically. The fat QB from Ohio State was saying the same thing when we brought in Francis' class.

Do you want to know how bad dumb this board is? We have porsters actually needing verification that Dennis Smith didn’t make this decision alone and without Mario’s approval.

That and besides me saying “bad dumb”.
You are at the very top of the "bad dumb" dumbass brigade!

Some people need to come to reality that we don’t have the dodgers money and other schools have money as well and are willing to drop the bigger NIL bank for the splash if they aren’t getting enough traction with other kids

We seem to have great traction with a lot of the top 100 and unfortunately you can’t give top bag to every single kid

No one said anything different buddy. The staff recruited those guys. . . You are changing the goalposts; you replied to me talking about a flip.

Miami has top-end money in college football. But, it's a fool's errand to spend top dollar on a RB out of high school.
