You think the BYU kid is a JAG?I feel that way about all our portal additions this spring but not this one. He’s an upgrade from Ajay.

How Can an All American be a Jag?You think the BYU kid is a JAG?
5 YPC isn't bad at all.This is the right way to analyze RB's.
It's easy to see some RB's just can't hang when the talent level increases.
Of course @DMoney - if you look at all RB's this way (not just Parrish), you have to face 2 uncomfortable realities you don't want to face:
1) Walton blows. He was fools gold
2) Fletcher is much closer to Parrish than he is Martinez

You expected Lyle to play like an elite rb1 in year 1 ?Sounds accurate. Plenty of time for them to excel, but when we landed them, no one was selling them as do not open until 2025
Why are you asking me? I asked the question to the poster who said he thinks all the spring portal additions are JAGS except for Brown. Hence why I asked him if the BYU WR addition is a JAG. Keep up!How Can an All American be a Jag?
19 other High Profile Colleges that offered don’t think he is A Jag.
let the insider know that nebraska paid 3 or 4 times more than we were willing to pay Jacory Barney so we are even. But keep talking we may spin back around for him.Nebraska insider saying we offered 3 to 4 times more and he liked Nebraska better but chose the money instead lol. Yeah we're definitely throwing massive bags for a RB3 lmao. He also says he expects LB recruit Jordan Campbell to flip.
Fletcher was 5.2 last season. I exoect that will incease to between 5.4-5.7 this season.This is the right way to analyze RB's.

I think Fletcher is the best RB on the team and those are reasonable expectations.Fletcher was 5.2 last season. I exoect that will incease to between 5.4-5.7 this season.
It's not bad. It's not good. It's average.5 YPC isn't bad at all.

IMO Fletcher's talent is somewhere in-between Cam Harris & Deejay Dallas,, With a big year this year that's (statistically) where he'll end up.
Here's every RB that led Miami in rushing the last 15 years career YPC vs P4 teams.

A = 6+ is Elite
B = 5.5+ is pretty good
C = Around 5 is average
D = 4.5 and under is below average
F = Under 4 is Mark Walton
this is the new favored insult. you pay too much for players. I guess it's a version of the old he took a bag insult. weird how everyone is jealous of the rich teams in MLB and soccer but in college football spending money is bad.let the insider know that nebraska paid 3 or 4 times more than we were willing to pay Jacory Barney so we are even. If Jordon Campbell flips to Nebraska we clearly were out bid see how that works.
I agree with that ranking as a pure runner. I think what people miss with Fletcher is that he is a 6’2, 230-pound football player with high IQ and aggression. He is elite pass protecting (55% of snaps), a load if he has open space as a checkdown, and an overall physical presence who wears down other teams.
Do you see him staying 4 years or jumping to the NFL next year?I agree with that ranking as a pure runner. I think what people miss with Fletcher is that he is a 6’1, 230-pound football player with high IQ and aggression. He is elite pass protecting (55% of snaps), a load if he has open space as a checkdown, and an overall physical presence who wears down other teams.
If he jumped in the Portal, teams like Alabama and Ohio State would be lining up because of his overall value to winning football (and not just the running).
I think their is a very good role for Fletcher as a 3rd down back and in confined redzone spaces. I hope this is a big year for him and he changes my mind.I agree with that ranking as a pure runner. Don’t read too much into media guide weight. Anybody who has stood next to Fletcher will tell you how big he is. He has to watch his weight to get in the 220s because his frame is naturally huge. He’s built like an OLB, which makes him unique as a protector (along with his IQ and willingness to strike first).Here's my issue with the "Overcompensation Army" (receiving, blocking, fumbling, intangibles, etc)
Fletcher is NOT an elite pass protector. He isn't just because you want him to be.
2023 - Fletcher graded 3rd on the team behind Chaney, and Ajay Allen
2024 - Fletcher graded 2nd on the team behind Lyle, and ahead of Martinez
Fletcher is 225 and reportedly has "slimmed down". He's not 230 just because you say he is.
Fletcher runs like he thinks he's a 210 elusive RB (that's his biggest issue). He can be a power RB (at times), but that's not what he leans into. Part of the reason we got Brown is because of his size.
Does a RB make plays when the ball is in their hands? That's pretty much all that matters.
The rest is minimal and doesn't move the needle.
I think it’s actually done to make the player look bad. Along the lines of “he doesn’t care about football, just in it for money “this is the new favored insult. you pay too much for players. I guess it's a version of the old he took a bag insult. weird how everyone is jealous of the rich teams in MLB and soccer but in college football spending money is bad.

6 years (starting 7) in league speaks volumes, especially at the RB spotHomer really was slept on
