This is the right way to analyze RB's.

It's easy to see some RB's just can't hang when the talent level increases.

Of course @DMoney - if you look at all RB's this way (not just Parrish), you have to face 2 uncomfortable realities you don't want to face:

1) Walton blows. He was fools gold
2) Fletcher is much closer to Parrish than he is Martinez

let the insider know that nebraska paid 3 or 4 times more than we were willing to pay Jacory Barney so we are even. But keep talking we may spin back around for him.

If Jordon Campbell flips to Nebraska we clearly were out bid see how that works.

Fletcher was 5.2 last season. I exoect that will incease to between 5.4-5.7 this season.

I think Fletcher is the best RB on the team and those are reasonable expectations.

I don't think we see a big jump. IMO he pretty much is who he is. I'd lean on the lower side of those numbers.

IMO Fletcher's talent is somewhere in-between Cam Harris & Deejay Dallas,, With a big year this year that's (statistically) where he'll end up.

Here's every RB that led Miami in rushing the last 15 years career YPC vs P4 teams.

A = 6+ is Elite
B = 5.5+ is pretty good
C = Around 5 is average
D = 4.5 and under is below average
F = Under 4 is Mark Walton

He is elite pass protecting (55% of snaps), a load if he has open space as a checkdown, and an overall physical presence who wears down other teams.

If he jumped in the Portal, teams like Alabama and Ohio State would be lining up because of his overall value to winning football (and not just the running).

I think their is a very good role for Fletcher as a 3rd down back and in confined redzone spaces. I hope this is a big year for him and he changes my mind.

Don’t read too much into media guide weight. Anybody who has stood next to Fletcher will tell you how big he is. He has to watch his weight to get in the 220s because his frame is naturally huge. He’s built like an OLB, which makes him unique as a protector (along with his IQ and willingness to strike first).

As for your pass protection “grades,” if they have Ajay Allen over Fletcher I think that tells you all you need to know.
