On CharMar "Marty" Brown...

It's not bad. It's not good. It's average.

IMO Fletcher's talent is somewhere in-between Cam Harris & Deejay Dallas,, With a big year this year that's (statistically) where he'll end up.

Here's every RB that led Miami in rushing the last 15 years career YPC vs P4 teams.

A = 6+ is Elite
B = 5.5+ is pretty good
C = Around 5 is average
D = 4.5 and under is below average
F = Under 4 is Mark Walton

bshaw anytime he sees Mark Walton

Don’t read too much into media guide weight. Anybody who has stood next to Fletcher will tell you how big he is. He has to watch his weight to get in the 220s because his frame is naturally huge. He’s built like an OLB, which makes him unique as a protector (along with his IQ and willingness to strike first).

As for your pass protection “grades,” if they have Ajay Allen over Fletcher I think that tells you all you need to know.
What I'm saying is these little "what people miss" things you're mentioning are pretty irrelevant.

Fletcher - 5.2 YPC & 7.3 YPR
Martinez - 6..2 YPC & 12.2 YPR

If Fletcher's a better receiver & in pass pro - everyone would still want Martinez on the field ahead of Fletcher because Martinez is the guy who makes plays.

Does the RB make plays? That's all that matters.

That stats speak for themselves. I tried to tell people 10 years ago how bad it was.

10 years later, they look just as bad (no other RB is even close).

I would respect anyone that said "yes that stats looked bad, but I liked him and thought he was good". That's cool, everyone has "their guys".

But that's not what some do. They either ignore or try to justify the stats.

I was pushing Martinez as the starter when half the fans were trying to bench him. No pushback from me on him.

But the other stuff matters more than you think. It’s a reason why Walton was a fourth rounder and Martinez was a sixth.

Cool. Walton was a great receiver, pass blocker, great guy (well..). That's why he is a 4th Rounder.

Now let me ask you - how do you explain this?

And don't say "Was he Edgerrin James as a runner? No" like you always do. 99% of RB's weren't as good as Edge, so that's says nothing.

I'd like to hear what type of runner you think Walton was @DMoney , not what he wasn't. Take a stance.

I’ll say the same thing I said before the NFL drafted him and before he started NFL games: average runner, really good football player.

He was playing the role I expected with the Dolphins (lots of passing downs, blocking and receiving), but then he got arrested a million times. Sad story.

Mark Walton the goat.

If Martinez coukd get 6.1 with his running dtyle for most of last year. Im locking in Fletcher at 5.5

Like I said - Walton's stats present you with a reality you don't want to face.

When you think 3.8 is "average" - it's hard to tell if you're worse at Math or English :D

If he stops doing the Drunk Uncle all the time, maybe

I like Fletcher - but he really wants to make people miss vs running through them. It's the same thing everyone complained about with Gus Edwards.

If he embraces his size, we could be in business.

Yup its his running style.

He is very similar to Ollie Gordon i'd say thats his trajectory.

I could see him having these same numbers combine wise and projections.

Want to see if he can add that little more umph that Gordon has finishing runs this year and Fletcher goes against better defenses in the acc.

ID EXPECT IN THAT 4.6-4.65 RANGE.

Easily the most surprising thing about being at a practice or Spring game and seeing the players in person.
