Or guys don’t sign and aren’t drafted . That’s another thing we could start seeingGotta add in the grad portal.

I like the top five but depth is beyond scary. Now the question is how do you feel about that group? Can we win a championship w them? I love this 26 squad everywhere but OL is giving me some pause. I know we have the best guys in Cristobal and Mirabal to figure it out but I def will be curious how they look come spring
Fine w/that too, just need a couple quality bodies here.Or guys don’t sign and aren’t drafted . That’s another thing we could start seeing
Reason why Lowe as possible starters? Just askingView attachment 355373
Every year i put our class in tiers to try to see how good i am at scouting lol. Had him as a potential star..this is also before i found out sj was closer to 5’11 than 6’3 lol
It’s a little questionable. I think Cantwell will be really good. So much time from now until the opener for him to get even stronger and improve his technique. I saw him at the Fiesta Bowl. He’s huge.-Weakest position group on the team, and average at best: Change my mind
-Too many projections: Can McCoy play LT? Can Cantwell step into RT immediately? Can Buchanan play RG?
McCoy Okunlola,RR, Buchanon Cantwell
Merriweather could be in there somewhere but that’s the five I’d expect unless something changes like a gt. Depth is my biggest concern. We’ll be depending on a few freshmen .
Stupidity lol i think he’s gonna be a star..and possibly our best de this yearReason why Lowe as possible starters? Just asking
OL is the one position, even more than TE, where we missed in the portal. Tough replacing 4 starters, including talented fixtures on the right side. Seaton seemed like a diva & maybe portal options were limited. Trust Mario & his little friend to piece together a solid group, but very young/inexperienced & expect growing pains.Who is the backup LT? That could get ugly
Not as good as last year obviously but I think we will be fine on the 1st team OL. If guys go down it gets scary really quick
I fully expect 2 grad transfers after spring to land on the OL, at least to shore up quality depth. TE possibly as well depending on how the young guys are developing.OL is the one position, even more than TE, where we missed in the portal. I'm confused about this: Can grad transfers still transfer outside of the "transfer portal"? They've always been allowed to, but thought i read under the new transfer portal window/news that they couldn't. Any idea?I fully expect 2 grad transfers after spring to land on the OL, at least to shore up quality depth. TE possibly as well depending on how the young guys are developing.
As far as I understand grad transfers can move outside of the "transfer portal" window IE after spring.I'm confused about this: Can grad transfers still transfer outside of the "transfer portal"? What about this guy Cline that we picked up? I think SJ, Minaya, Cline, Woodrow as depth on the inside, and then Samson swinging outside moving the above inside with Merriweather, Campbell, and Wilkerson as depth at tackle. I'm thinkingMcCoy was always intended to be a tackle in long term. He’s a former tight end which had good feet. Being 6’7 playing inside he could lose leverage at times which is another reason most viewed him as a tackle when he arrived. Merriweather reminds me some of bell. Big guy that’s never had great coaching but he’s a tad raw. I’d expect guard with him but nothing would shock me at tackle. Either side. **** pancake could kick outside. I’d just lean McCoy and Cantwell today. Tbh I hope we add another guy later that’s a grad transfer.
Cline is just a numbers guy , we need bodies. If he works out great but I’m not expecting much other than maybe spot duty. I’d be thrilled if he was a quality rotation guy . That would be a big hit. What about this guy Cline that we picked up? LT: McCoy, Samson OR Merriweather, Campbell OR Wilkerson
LG: Samson, Minaya OR Cline OR Woodrow
C: Rodriguez, SJ OR Cline
RG: Buchannon, Cline OR Woodrow
RT: Cantwell, Merriweather, Campbell OR Wilkerson
Let's see if Joel Ervin or Ben Congdon develop quickly.
Yes, he was 310 at the start of the season as a true freshman. I think he could easily be 3020 - 325 this season. How is Buchanans frame - is he a guy that can get to the 320+ range comfortably?
Does it make sense to pair McCoy & Samson with a young guy? Do we want two inexperienced guys side by side? What about this guy Cline that we picked up?
