Miami added some edge to its OL room with the signing of Max Buchanan. The Sanford native is a nasty finisher who carries himself like a classic Cane, both on and off the field. A high school left tacke, Buchanan projects as a guard at the next level and should continue to fill out his 6’4, 275-pound frame.

He is a composite 4-star prospect and chose Miami over Clemson and Florida State.

 

Quietly one of the bigger pickups for us.

My favorite ol in the class he is closer to 300 than 275 tight now i believe.

 

When it comes to OL, I look at the offer sheet more than the stars.

What are your thoughts on this kid? I loved his tape doing it and seems to have a mean streak.

Every year i put our class in tiers to try to see how good i am at scouting lol. Had him as a potential star..this is also before i found out sj was closer to 5’11 than 6’3 lol

Yea SJ size completely changed what I thought of him, I thought he was like 6'3 as well.

Yea his tape is super elite

 

I think Max is going to start at RG next to Jackson. They will be side by side for the next 3 years like Coop and CiCi.

Yikes. Brock Schott in Tier 1 was a miss. They have not yet gotten on field, but I think Lowe and Wiley will be beasts. Bryce is Tier 1 in retrospect. I am higher on Josh Moore than most. Agree with your Tier 3 and Tier 4 except Moore should be higher.
