Official: TVD Out / JB Starting

Stay healthy kid.

Big fan of what he can do to a defense with his running ability, goes without saying, this is a different animal this week

Curious to see how conservative our plan is this week. If we try and protect Brown, we will get slaughtered.

One has to think that Clemson will stack the box and force Jacuzzi to have to complete forward passes. We'll see if he can.

TVD has done nothing to lose the job
Still .... if JB should (chances are like 1%) engineer a W it will be because he is effective throwing as well as running and it would definitely be a competition for the starting role in 2023 with a new OC. TVD's stock fell immensely in 2022. He has a major hill to climb to "reclaim" his status.

Yeah I mean I will always be happy with a win, but beating GT was kinda meaningless when it comes to this game.

You would think an OC would work around the monumental disadvantage we have up front in this game, but these guys have proven to be the opposite. I dunno. It’s not a good feeling when you know your OC can’t come up with anything that tries to even the odds at all.

I hear you @Cribby but i disagree to a degree. Go ahead and full steam ahead with Jacurri. My logic is, if he's HIM, you're only going to get 2-3 years out of him anyways so why delay it? He should be the starter the rest of the season regardless of how healthy TVD is.

Better to put a lot of stuff on film so he can have relevant game play to study in the offseason and not garbage time game play to study against back ups.
He’s a developmental qb and that was no secret when he arrived. Why throw him in for selfish reasons when he’s nowhere near a finished product? Unless you want to look like Oregon last year with their qb. He needs a lot of work anr throwing him out there too early won’t did the issues. We’ll have new faces on the offensive staff and I’d like to coach him up like he deserves to be. The difference in one year could be huge, not doing that is a disservice to him developing imo

my answer would be different if he was a sophomore or even a junior.
but as a true freshman, I agree with this part bolded above.

In before Miami fans change their fickle minds and start asking for mocha I mean patchoka I mean the remaining guy

I look forward to watching Don today , he’ll have more running lanes than he’s ever had here playing with JB. On top of that he’s one of the only really fresh guys esoecially at rb.
If he’s on the field in the third quarter I’ll smile
