I would like to see him hire Kevin Patrick or Kareem Brown to coach the DL.

But really, objectively speaking, it's a dumb hire by FIU.
They should look at folks from the Mike Leach coaching tree.

I'd rather see Kareem attached at the hip to Kool.

Seriously though, another thing he could do for us is evaluate some local 3 stars we might be unsure of. As lame as he is on the sidelines, he's a savant when it comes to locating undeveloped talent. We can then swoop in and grab some of his evaluations.

why would he do this? Out of spite for miami?

you'd have to think if he was really into coaching again that he could have contacted richt and offered himself to come on as assistant at the very least as a recruiting coordinator

Why would Richt hire someone who would undermine him at every opportunity? Butch wanted the job, you think he'd work for the guy that got it? Plus, Butch was an awful subordinate, especially if he was working under a guy who gave his staff any kind of freedom. He knew that Jimmy would fire his ***, so he never tried him. He tried every other coach he worked under, especially when he was in Dallas.

Chise, since you've been on Butchs nuts and saying he would have been a far better hire than Richt despite many of us telling you that Butch was washed up and no school in their right mind would touch him with a ten foot pole , why is FIU the only school that would offer Butch a job?

IIRC FIU is in serious danger of being regulated to FBS due to attendance issues, he's crazy if he actually does it.

He cant go after plan A or B or C.....wouldnt be a smart idea imo. He knows he cant recruit the cooks or juedys or even regular cats....so this isnt smart we should be in for big fish not plan f ayers

The only recruit that went to FIU that I wanted at Miami was Willis Wright.

Paul Davis is an underachieving coRch. He will underachieve at FIU or fail miserably. His track record proves that.
