Off-season Manny!

Just curious

How many conference titles does Manny own now? I know Mario has 3 titles at two different FBS schools, to include a few nattys as a player and coach.

Just for starters- how’s Manny’s record against FIU?

Didn’t Mario also out-recruit Manny this too?

in year three, with an OVERWHELMING talent advantage, he lost to a winless Oregon State team and a Cal team who’s only other win was against Oregon State.

If Oregon backing into the Rose Bowl because Washington couldn’t play makes you feel better more power to you.

And as far as what he did at FIU, he ended up getting fired after going 2-8 his final season .

Funny how you only post the lowlights of Manny’s career here and the highlights of Mario’s, omitting all the garbage losses and the fact he got **** canned his first go round.

You and the cult of Butch crowd are the worst kind of mopes. You relentlessly root against anything positive here because of your demented obsession with another guy who’s results are just as flawed.

Way too reasonable post.

Everything from CIS to politics has to an be an extreme view, one way or the other.
There is no in-between.

Man, you have to start paying attention!
You are right, brother.
Seven posts below the one you quoted I sarcastically responded to what I thought was a pretty obvious troll/absurd post by KrazyCane and got dumbvoted by a bunch of people. They completely missed what I thought was pretty clear sarcasm, likely out of blind rage and devotion for "their side". Only the veteran sage @TRick72 managed to pick up on it. Wild.

There are some troubled souls in here..,
Your sarcasm detector is broken.
Besides, anyone who responds to @KrazyCane with anything but sarcasm is just taking the bait.

Lowlights of mannys career huh, what exactly are the highlights? Because I can’t find any unless we’re now considering the turnover chain as a highlight of a mans coaching ability/career. Smh and I didn’t read my man actually pointing out the true lowlights of Manures career in corching football but I certainly will for you. Two of the worst defensive performances in the HISTORY of two once proud national championship programs in Texas and Miami. At Texas since theyre serious about football that Manure abortion got him fired, at the TeleNovella that is the university of Miami he gets to keep his job. Now back to Mario, regardless of why he got fired, he still led FIU to their first conference championship and Bowl win in the HISTORY of that program, which is a better feet then the two things manure owns in the history books mentioned above. And Mario didn’t back into the pac 12 championship, he backed into the game but he still had to WIN that game with everything on the line against a ranked opponent. How did Manure do this year when he had to WIN a game with everything on the line (trip to the Orange bowl) against a ranked opponent? Well incase you forgot, which I don’t blame you my friend as I’m trying to expunge it form my memory as well but for the sake of the conversation I’ll have to bring it up again. he lost 62 to 26 and his precious defense gave up 778 yards. And that’s one for the history books as I also mentioned above. So when you look at the tale of the tape, one is a coRch and the other is an actual coach who knows how to win things that actual matter. And those things aren’t Off-season titles and Twitter titles unfortunately.

Truthfully my knowledge on most things is pretty limited but when it comes to sarcasm I’m a regular Stephen Hawking

There are no highlights. All is lost. There is no hope.

It has to be exhausting being you.

I remember that BYU game...not to give too many excuses but it was a unique encounter. Game was delayed by a lightning storm and kickoff was closer to midnight. Then it rained heavily during the game, and Texas went from a 2nd quarter lead to getting destroyed. Manny was made the scape goat and bears responsibility, but UT was trending down in terms of talent overall. His replacement wasn’t much of an improvement and Mack retired at the end of 2013.

I do credit Manny for not making that failure the period at the end of the sentence. I also credit him for making constant adjustments and having a “nothing is off limits” approach to change. Previous coaches at Miami either were forced to make changes (Coker, masking a problem that was his own making), didn’t have the resources to make changes (Shannon), or refused to make changes (Golden).

Well their is still hope, word is Frenk won’t be extended, so god willing will get a president who actually cares about athletics and wants to win there as much as he wants to win in academics and will hire according to that. Also James and mannys fates are tied together so if manure ***** the bed again in season three both will be gone and then their is hope again that the powers to be hire a AD who is a football guy with a plan and autonomy and of course he hires a head coach according to that. So yes my friend, their is hope for the future. And the best part is the next coach won’t have a bare cabinet.

Good points but you know the thing that infuriates me the most about Manny is his insistence on deferring to upper class man even when they are less talented and flat out not as good as the younger players behind them. That is a moral killer and locker divider for any team and is the precise reason Manny has lost his team two years in a row as they quit on him. He better start applying that “nothing is off limits” approach to that or his time will be up soon here. Will see if he finally does it on year three but if we see jenning and McLeod March out there game one as starters, will know Manny is nothing but smoke and mirrors like ive suspsected since the start.

Never know, 1980 USA hockey team against the Russians. They won with heart and no QUIT in them. Let's just focus and pray.

I’m still not a believer in Manny as a HC, never was...

But I’ll give him credit for trying to make it right & doing what’s necessary to put us in the best position he can to be a good team. I’m still skeptical if he really knows how to turn us into a consistent winning program, but at least he’s giving an effort to change.

Folden that lazy ******* would sit on his *** & loosen his orange tie trying to find every excuse on Earth for not changing, which culminated in the most emasculating moment I’ve ever seen in the infamous post game hand shake with Dabo when he couldn’t even make eye contact with him, so demoralizing.

I do believe in Lashlee, King, the offense overall & I was & (still am) the biggest believer in TRob before he ever even came here & I believe we’re on the upswing as a program in terms of recruiting, we’re bringing in a good collection of talent which is what you want no matter how you may feel about the HC because even if the HC doesn’t work out you don’t want the cupboard bare for the next guy.

Manny has to figure out how to not get slaughtered in these games like UNC, those type of embarrassing games can’t happen, that’s on the HC to figure out how to rally the troops & not get their asses whooped so bad especially at Home, that’s legitimately one of the worst, if not thee worst game in school history. And that’s following another severely embarrassing loss from last year in the FIU game, which shows me that late in the season Manny’s teams seem to completely check out & stop playing for him, that’s a problem that if he can’t solve will continue to keep happening throughout his tenure.

He’s gotta approach this season ruthlessly, he should be out for blood for revenge on Mack Brown, I’d be ****ed off like none other if the dude who fired me at Texas keeps kicking my *** every time I play him. If I was Manny my #1 personal goal (aside from winning the Coastal) would be to get back at Mack Brown. No more being nice & gracious to that old *******, I would make it my life’s mission to drive him back into the retirement home.

But there’s no more excuses for Manny, if we don’t win the Coastal this year, he’s not gonna win it ever in his tenure however long it lasts. This is the make or break year for Manny.
Manny is great in the off season with the portal and all the drama with changes. Still zero championships and zero bowl victories.I too felt he was a terrible hire. Just hope he ends his internship sooner than later.

Do you really think that the team quit on him in 2020? I think players did in 2019 though.

He's probably going to build another dynasty or at least win the conference championship. It takes time. We will see FOLKS.
If you pay attention to his moves, he’s not afraid of making moves to get better, unlike the last 3 coaches we had! Let’s give him that much
