Off-season Manny!

I’ve seen a few posts about Manny’s teams checking out to end the season. I agree that happened year 1, obviously, but not buying it for year 2.

We shut out Duke the week before UNC and even though we got off to a poor start and lost, we fought like **** in the bowl game. He clearly didn’t have them ready to play against UNC, which was an abomination. You can definitely put that L on Manny and Baker but I don’t think the team had checked out on him or they would have folded when Ok St jumped out on us. Just my 2 cents.

As far as OP, the offseason jokes have always seemed stupid to me. You all clamor for in season improvements while constantly making lame jokes about offseason improvements. They go hand in hand, improve in the offseason and you will improve during the season. I don’t know any programs that went from mediocre to powerhouse over night, but that’s what y’all expect from Manny. Even though these same posters regularly shït on him and say he doesn’t have what it takes as a HC. Somebody help it make sense.
Your post makes too much sense for most. No lies you posted nothing but truth.

To my sober peeps...: Dude's gone through perhaps the most brutal tenure of results (FiU, NC), bad breaks (his first year at HC he got almost every bad bounce imaginable), ridiculously close "almosts" taken away at the last second (DE pairing of Jaelan and GR; safety Avantae Williams and Bolden, etc.), re-hauled via the portal available talent in a way that redefined seasonal expectations, brought best available OC, and now, brought in coaching on the defensive side, while getting something that's been as elusive as championships here: getting underclassmen to stay/not leave until they're ready, which benefits both the individual players and of course, the team... And for all the ongoing struggles, to remain relentless, including and especially during the off-season, is absolutely worth acknowledging and seriously being excited about... to crawl out of the sh* we've been through and still have fire... da*n right im celebrating every off and on season victory...

You mean a team that is losing a **** ton of NFL talent and coaches? You’re right, Miami should compete in that game with all they bring back and all the losses by Bama.

But Diaz can’t coach his way through a SFL HS season.

I know edging out NC State is good enough for most of you- but until Miami gets serious and goes after Mario- I will continue to point out how awful Manny is and how out-classed he truly is by the programs he aspires to be like.
Mario worse then manny,...foh..

Just curious

How many conference titles does Manny own now? I know Mario has 3 titles at two different FBS schools, to include a few nattys as a player and coach.

Just for starters- how’s Manny’s record against FIU?

Didn’t Mario also out-recruit Manny this too?
Mario has been an HC for 10 years while Manny has just 2 years...

Mario is an underachiever while Manny is a work in progress. You're basically comparing apples with oranges.

I don’t understand the people hating for “winning the off-season”. Isn’t that exactly what you want your coach to do? Replace poor coaches, recruit better players, sign import transfers? It’s like people are so desperate to complain about something they just complain about good things. If you want to argue how Manny calls a game or that he doesn’t go for it on fourth down enough or that he uses timeouts poorly, go for it. There’s certainly holes in his coaching that can’t be ignored. But improving the team in the off season isn’t something that any person who is an actual fan should be mad about. Maybe you feel that hiring better coaches and recruiting better players will make the team worse. If so, at least hold off on complaints until you actually see some results.

I can speak for myself, when I recall being hoodwinked between offseason success, fans expecting no less than a 10 win season, and then come November we fall back to Earth. I will give credit for good offseason moves, but the overly optimistic predictions that immediately follow I just have to call out. People see programs on the schedule that are not traditional powerhouses and chalk up an automatic win. It has not worked that way in a very very long time.

I would say that’s more on fans being uneducated. If I say “Miami should blow out Alabama by at least three touchdowns” and it doesn't happen, do I have a right to be upset? Just because half the fanbase lives in a fantasy land doesn't make them correct.

This guy gets it! Well said my friend, like I’ve told all this slurpers licking up Manures spit when he talks, end of the day no matter how many mythical off season championships he has, he’s still a coRch! And anyone who’s played the game or has actually vision left can see it a mile away, its amateur hour there and not only should he never have been made HC but the man that hired him should never have been made AD. And like you said, until this university and program get serious about themselves I’m gonna continue to point out how dumb and ignorant the people in charge are. because I don’t give a Fvck any more because the powers that be clearly Dont! And if the slurpers are happy with Mandys spit in their mouths and squeaking by the NC states of of the world and getting blown out by the UNCs of the world, that’s their business but on the flip side that still ain’t gonna stop me from pointing the TRUTH out to those sheep! lol

Thanks. Maybe you can send him some of your suggestions too.
Yea man I’m working on one but it may be to controversial and I don’t want to rock the boat or anything since we’re coming off our 3rd straight offseason National Championship! 🙌👍🤮 but here it goes, #discipline&prepared&energy&fundamentals&motivated! What do you think man? I don’t want to be to much of a Debby downer since like a said before were champs again in the offseason but I just wanted to point out in the very important “in season” that we can’t seem to do any of those five things in the hashtag during the games. 🤷🏻‍♂️ But if it’s to “mopey” to point those crucial facts out I won’t do it because I wouldn’t want to interfere with the slurpers licking up Manuelas spit when tweets at them. Lol

Lol Mario.
Back to back Pac 12 champs and a Rose bowl championships sporto! Get back to me when Manure accomplishes that same feat. I’ll be waiting! Smh

Well he did do something Manny has never done and will never do, he won the Rose Bowl and back to back Pac 12 championships! Oh and he won that Rose Bowl against steam we can’t seem to beat to save our lives btw.

Successful off-seasons are critical to successful seasons.
Successful off-seasons do not guarantee successful seasons.

Two things can be true at once.

I am enthusiastic about this off-season and optimistic about 2021, but Manny still needs to show us much more on the field in 2021.
Way too reasonable post.

Everything from CIS to politics has to an be an extreme view, one way or the other.
There is no in-between.

Man, you have to start paying attention!

Miami has not been good. Has been the bad team on the schedule. Has fans that say we should have lost 5 more games this year... then immediately see the schedule come out and say 10 wins or GTFOH.... yes Miami should be winning 10 games a season, but we haven’t been but twice in 15 years.....then the argument ensues about “accepting mediocrity”, which no one is doing, rather understanding where we really are, where we need to be and how hard it’s been to get there

This should be expected from our team.
Every game.
No question.

Amen brother but honestly don’t even waste your time trying to point these facts out to some of these guys on here because they just can’t get over their hate that Mario made a SMART move and left Fatso to coach with the greatest coach to ever coach the game in saban. Anyone with half a brain makes that move unless your a porster on CIS. Mario is a hundred times the coach Manure is and that ain’t ever gonna change! And I’ll tell you all why he is, because unlike Manure, Mario actually played the ******* game that he’s now coaching! Instead of Mandys path to coaching on the espn editing room. Lol you can’t make this **** up, only at the university of Miami do they hire the most unqualified head coach in America who’s also a Seminole versus a guy who is proven winner at every level, and an alum who wanted the job. Smh

Really? Underachieving huh?! So I guess back to back pac 12 titles and a rose Bowl championship is underachieving now huh? Well if that’s underachieving then sign me up sir! Quick question, if that’s an underachieving last two seasons for Mario then what would you qualify Manures last two seasons as sporto? 🤢🤮 I’ll hang up and listen. Smh

Just not better?? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit! You're getting softer than baby **** in your old age, Krazy.... say it with your chest next time or just sit these posts out.

We're actually a worse FB program with these changes. Last year we only had Manny ******* up as HC. Now he's gonna be ******* up as HC and as de-facto DC! That's more Manny doing Manny things all over this program. 6-7.
