Notre Dame's QB1 in the Opener

This has never stopped journeymen QB's from post All-American stats specifically vs. US. But - I think the complete lack of experience combined with stadium environment AND our dudes... wont bode well for ND QB. So unless they Love us to death and we allow it -- we should be able to win by a TD.
Journeymen QB who actually hasn't played a college football game, but I digress

I do have some concern with Fields and Greathouse. Not sure we want to play man either. But it's pick your poison.
Greathouse got a lot of his yards in the OSU when they were down against soft coverage. He made some nice runs after the catch tho. He made most of his yard vs PSU on a broken coverage play. His production prior to this games was minimal. Half of his yards came in those last two games

The QB decision has been made… you don’t go into opponent prep without having QB1, the problem is ND plays UM week 1 so they ain’t sharing ****. It’s smart on their part, make UM spend time dissecting both. You won’t know ND starter (publicly) until day or two before.

But there is nothing to dissect. They can look at HS tape I guess for traits.

If I'm Miami, I would prepare for ND as if Leonard was still there. If it's Minchey he will run that same type of offense. If it's Carr they are going to hand off 30+ times and throw horizontally/quickly.

I know Bissainthe has been getting some love from Dmoney, but this is a game I'd like to see a lot of Pruitt out there.

I'm assuming it's Minchey because he's a scrambler and they want to extend plays. They also want to have Love as a receiving option in space.

I'm assuming Cristobal and the DC know this and are planning for it.

Hot weather and hot weather with 90%+ humidity is a whole nother level
"Corn sweat" refers to the moisture released by corn plants through evapotranspiration, contributing to higher humidity and making heat waves in the Midwest feel more intense. While not a technical term, it describes how large fields of corn release significant amounts of water vapor into the air, raising the dew point and increasing the "feels like" temperature.

Even if he's not named the starter, they are working on packages with him in, there was even some video of love getting the direct snap faking it to menchie wildcat style

I think we can agree Texas is very hot and I seen Texas 8&4 kids on the sidelines gasping for air, multiple went in the Lockeroom for IVs. It's different man! the number next to the word temperature doesn't apply in Miami

I agree. Greathouse is better with a head of steam. I'd play man and force him to beat us with his route running. We have the size to match up with him and Fields.

This is how @JG13 and @JG14 envision what their finishing move would be if they went into the WWE

Is this really his stat line?
I hate to be that guy but Box score doesn’t really indicate his impact. Even when his box scores looked modest partly because Notre Dame spread the touches around and he played through a late-season knee issue he still broke off chunk plays and forced defenses to adjust. He doesn’t need 20 carries to change a game, just a few touches can swing momentum. I fully expect a their mobile qb to start against us.

We don’t have the advantage in every unit 😂

I love our DL, but we don’t have the advantage against their OL

Their DBs against our receivers might be the biggest mismatch on the field.

Their backs against our linebackers isn’t even close.

But we can absolutely beat them. I love our OL against anyone, even them. I love Beck in a big game, at home. I love our corners against their WRs, and I love that the QB they’re throwing out is going to be completely inexperienced and playing in a rabid cesspool of debauchery. We can win, but a very large percentage of that roster just played for a National championship, and they’ve been recruiting and using the portal at an elite level. It’s one of the best rosters in CFB and will be a challenge for us.

This isn’t 2017. It’s college football so who knows, maybe we win 41-8 again, but this roster is much, much better than that **** Brian Kelly was rolling out there.
Good post, needed that. My teeth were starting to hurt from all the Kool-Aid.
