Is Heatherman a blitz happy DC? I could probably google this, but thought to ask if you might know. Thinking about a mobile qb vs a stand in the pocket passer

The lake effect also causes a cool breeze generally. I have taken a jacket to evening games in summer to the old Cleveland Municipal Stadium which was right on Lake Erie.

There is zero breeze in HRS and the perimeter advertising monitor (whatever it’s called) makes it feel like the temp rises 5* every time it lights up.

I lived for almost 8 years in Ohio and 45+- years in Florida. There is no comparison. Humidity amplifies temperature considerably.

When my daughter did peewee football cheer there was a family we met that had just moved from Las Vegas.
Their words “it’s way hotter down here than Nevada. We thought we were gonna get a break from the heat”.

The humidity is a mthrfckr it makes 90 feel like 103. And if there is no breeze at all you feel like you’re breathing into a paper bag.

I mean, I've never been to South Bend, so I don't know if it's like Chicago. It is 20-30 miles away from Lake Michigan. You could be right. But I still remember Jazz Fest Chicago was one of the hottest and muggiest events I've ever been to. And I"ve been to a lot of oppressive OB and HRS games. It was similar to many of those.

All I'm saying is don't count on that being a decisive factor. I don't doubt players will be gassed and cramping up (possibly on both sides). For me, Beck, Bain, Toure and Co, their new QB and the hostile crowd and noise levels -- I'm banking the win on those reasons, not heat/humidity.

Huge difference maker. They’re gonna keep being ambiguous up till kickoff. Neither Carr or the other guy seems like a high ceiling guy. If we limit Love, they’re gonna be in huge trouble

he isn't ultra aggressive but I think he'd lean more that way than a typical

I know talent is different here than at Minnesota, but I'm hoping that the Iowa run game disaster Minnesota experienced last year doesn't turn into a ND run game disaster in 2 weeks

Thanks for the share bro, I'm about to read that. I like players staying home and just getting up field, but their OL will probably hold it down and we will need to send some players.

Their DBs against our receivers might be the biggest mismatch on the field.

Their backs against our linebackers isn’t even close.

But we can absolutely beat them. I love our OL against anyone, even them. I love Beck in a big game, at home. I love our corners against their WRs, and I love that the QB they’re throwing out is going to be completely inexperienced and playing in a rabid cesspool of debauchery. We can win, but a very large percentage of that roster just played for a National championship, and they’ve been recruiting and using the portal at an elite level. It’s one of the best rosters in CFB and will be a challenge for us.

This isn’t 2017. It’s college football so who knows, maybe we win 41-8 again, but this roster is much, much better than that **** Brian Kelly was rolling out there.

Brian Kelly had really good rosters. Not great but good enough to have ND be a top 10 NFL talent producer.

Our backs should have a big day catching passes if we can catch them bringing pressure. Hopefully run some underneath crossers to beat those even though that's not a staple of Dawson's offense

Except we have a tendency to make Back up QBs/Brand new starters look like Brady playing with Randy Moss

I’m terrified that they will run run run and take a deep shot and go for 60 yards on a 3rd & 3 and we won’t be prepared for it at all.

Definitely not due to years of PTSD of seeing that exact same thing or anything….

The “New QB” Demon needs to be exercised on 8/31 and until then I’m cautiously optimistic with an extra side of caution

To be fair, they said that about ND playing against TA&M to start last season and from what I recall ND had no issues with the Texas heat in similar conditions . Not sure it will be a factor. New coordinators, new QB, @Miami, etc...that will be

The QB decision has been made… you don’t go into opponent prep without having QB1, the problem is ND plays UM week 1 so they ain’t sharing ****. It’s smart on their part, make UM spend time dissecting both. You won’t know ND starter (publicly) until day or two before.
