Notre Dame AD: ACC did “permanent damage”

At the end of the day...

- Committee attempted to corruptly elevate Bama at expense of Miami, BYU, and ND
- Committee never imagined nightmare scenario unfolding...SMU loss + BYU loss + UVA loss + respected voices saying "this is bull****"
- Committee then chose, in its self-interest, to elevate Miami (de facto ACC champ in their rationale) vs the others while still preserving their corrupt Bama (SEC) bias
- Committee attempted to use JMU + Tulane "protocols" as top cover...obviously not working
- For the first time ever, ND doesn't get a call to go its way and there are Veruca Salt-esque meltdown videos across the Internets
- ND would do several ACC teams a favor by making good on implied threat and just leaving...the quicker Miami finds a home in SEC/B1G, the better

Big12. We are not getting into those other conferences and I don’t want to. We would be treated worse in both than we are in the ACC.

Veruca Salt is an all girl or all but one girl band and all Members of the Tribe. They are not a party to the ND blame game.

This is exactly the case. The ACC ND deal, which is protected by a Grant of Rights, is:

1) ND gets to be ACC in every sport except football and hockey (there is no ACC hockey(
2) ND has to play 4-6 ACC teams a year, a combination of home and away
3) all ND away games vs ACC teams are shown via ESPN/ABC and are part of the ACC deal with that network
4) all ND home games vs ACC teams are shown on NBC, and the ACC is NOT included in any deal with NBC
5) If ND joins any conference in football other than the ACC, it must pay an exit fee to the conference, probably many tens of millions of dollars.

It was a god awful, stupid, zero benefit deal for the ACC who has continually stepped on its own junk to protect its self image as an "elite academic, basketball first conference" in a world where basketball might as well be ping pong relative to the amount of money football makes.
once again thank you John Sawfford and the Tobaccoroad mafia for this decision

My last post on here. ESPN/SEC is too big to fight out in the open. That's why Pete didn't talk about them in the interview. There is stuff going on behind the scenes there, though. We all know ESPN/SEC collusion is the real problem with college football. We just have to be smart about bringing it down. Will you guys and the remaining ACC teams get caught in the fallout or will you help? We will see.

1- No need to run away.

2 - The ACC has already been a part of the Disney- SEC collusion. ACC leadership quietly agreed to diminish ACC football at the expense of the SEC. The only exception was Clemson. The ACC protected Clemson as their "lion." With Clemson falling off recently, the ACC decided they needed Miami, which is why they did a 180 degree turn, going from openly cheating against Miami to publicly supporting them. That $3.3 million playoff payout was at stake. And there is no signs of Clemson making a miracle recovery next year.

They may not "have to" but with all the conferences going to 9 game schedules, they will find it more and more difficult to find teams to schedule. They haven't even gotten it straightened out yet if they're annual game with USC is going to continue. And they sure **** won't get this sweetheart deal they got with the ACC from the B1G or SEC. Maybe the Big12. But then again, the Big12 largely has garbage academics and ND doesn't wanna be associated with that.
commissioner og Big 12 B.Yormark is way to savvy to fall for ND's B.S. unlike SWofford and little jimmy

Stop lying.

Classy Marcus played CJ Carr for the entire Pitt game. You scored in the 4th quarter with less than 10 minutes to go, and you marched down to the Pitt 25 with less than 3 minutes to go, but unfortunately for Notre Dame, you fell short on a 4 yard pass on 4th and 5.

Their last possession Carr was still throwing the ball. They had 8 plays and he threw the ball 4 times, including on 4th down.

Why are you guys arguing with a Domer on here??? We have the same record and beat them head to head. End of story. Their AD crying about the ACC lobbying for us, a member, to get in over them, and the strain….??? **** him in the *** with no grease seriously. What an entitled joke.

Their beef lies with the SEC, the Committee and ESecPN. The ACC needs to end the whole thing immediately with ND. They can go join the B1G

I won't argue with a ND fan very long.

But I'll be damned if I'm going to let them lie about Miami "running up the score" or Notre Dame "staying classy" by not playing their starters until the final gun (which they did against Pitt).

they also ha a fake punt for 80+ yards when they were up multiple scores against Stanford. At the time Miami started running up the score and keeping starters in was around the time the media and everyone else was saying we needed "style" points. No doubt in my mind if the table was switched Freeman would not be so "classy" to bench his starters.
