I didn't call them an elite basketball school but they're possibly headed that way. They'll never be considered that by the masses though, because most people think like you (and you're not wrong) that the true blue bloods are the elite programs.

But he's stacking chips like a madman right now.

FSU is a trash heap, and Norvell is trying to treat P5 players like he did Memphis players. It's a different ballgame when you're coaching guys who got wined and dined and recruited by all the super powers. That's where some of these G5 coaches, who were viewed as wunderkinds at that level, fail at the marquee P5 level.

Unfortunately, sometimes the only way to force change is by blowing people up publicly. If they're doing dirty, then they should be blown up. This old school "keep it quiet and let the man tell us what to do" model doesn't play these days.
 
Norvell says the entire team was tested before camp, and will be tested in first week of camp. Had another test before 4th of July before players left campus to go home.


Some players have been ill during camp, and tested negative for COVID-19, Norvell said.

They are getting tested properly but kids don’t understand Hipaa laws. The University doesn’t have to tell the other players when someone is positive (the players know)

FYI Warren Thompson and DJ Mathews are Immature dudes and have a lot of growing up to do and they seem to be the problem.

Of course they don't have to. But they should. WTF are u talking about lol.

You'd feel comfortable working for a business where, if your coworker that you are in close contact with tests positive, you have no idea? It's all just swept under the rug? What if your dad was 80 and had a compromised immune system? You don't think you have a right to know if someone who you might be in close contact with has the virus? Jesus.
 
Norvell reiterates that everything they are doing right now is ‘completely voluntary’.

Norvell emphasizes again that being at FSU during the pandemic, practicing is voluntary. Has confidence in protocols set in place.

Norvell said there was an open forum with team the other day about COVID-19 related concerns, and has had some talks individually with players as well.


Chris Nee of 247 said "I asked Norvell if players brought concerns directly to him and if trust within the team hierarchy is a concern at this point."

Norvell said they have been transparent back and forth between coaches and players. Didn’t really give a direct answer towards trust.

Sorry, but I don't think Matthews was forced to delete his tweet revealing he had covid because the school wanted to strictly adhere to Hippa.

Your correct they cannot tell them who exactly is positive but they need to tell them when theyve possibly been exposed to someone who has tested positive
