Regarding your point 2.
Infuriating watching Cam take all these excess late 4th quarter snaps to just hand the ball off.
Then putting Emory in to hand the ball off 10 plays in a row.
Then, when every game comes down to a last second miracle, Emory can't get reps.
And we're left with a backup QB who can't throw the ball.
What are these coaches thinking?
In all honesty, I don't think Emory would have gotten any better with more reps.
And contrary to the false mythology, the coaches knew well before the bowl game that they needed a better QB than Emory, hence the pursuit of John Mateer.
Anyone who listens to coach-speak is destined to be "surprised" by reality.
