NEWSFLASH..we are not deep at WR according to Golden today..

Golden says our deepest unit on paper is not deep at all.....

Stacey Coley
Herb Waters
Braxton Berrios
Malcom Lewis
Rashawn Scott
Darrel Langham
Tyre Brady

* Asked about what Lawrence Cager did to break the two-deep in a deep receiving corps, Golden responded, "I don't think we're deep. That's one of the spots that when you look at our recruiting right now we need a lot of receivers. We're short there, not where we want to be at receiver. If you have those five scholarships right now, I'd say `One or two more running backs, one or two more receivers, one or two more corners.' In that range. ...

I wonder how the upper class WR's are feeling right now....? Golden is absolutely the worst f**king head coach on the planet.

The excuse machine is kicking in early....when will the nightmare end!

What is he trying to say right here? Are you ***king kidding me? The excuse maching already warmed up

He means depth you f-cktard. As a coach you want to make sure when the seniors and JR's that are good enough leave you have others that can step up. You cant rely on an AA true frosh to come in and save you.

We havent Red Shirted kids like we should under Golden. Some falls on the roster being toyed with because of missed recruits and kids leaving but most falls directly on Golden. Choc got 6 carries last year against an FCS team. That is outrageous. That kid came in late and was behind the ball and still is according to some account on the playbook. Please explain to me why a kid with his potential coming in late and slow to pick up a playbook would not have been Red Shirted? Thats gross negligence!!

Golden recruited those kids.

Brady and Langham were highly recruited and are true sophomores....all of a sudden they aren't even good enough to fill our the third team on our depth chart? Is Golden saying he needs a first team five star starter at every position three deep on the roster?

95% of the coaches in the country would be f**king giddy just to have Stacey Coley, Herb Waters and six walk ons.

If you don't get it sir so I wont bother explaining....

***king this

For Miami, our receiving core is pedestrian at best. I like Coley, Scott, Waters, Berrios but outside Coley where is the star potential? Outside those 4, I think the WRs are extremely weak. Maybe Cager has some potential.

Our WRs and CBs depth returning in 2016 is almost unfathomable considering both are everywhere in SFla. Just another massive failure by Folden

Brady was very highly regarded...so was Langham.

Its funny how quickly Golden turns on players.

You guys have a talent for making crap up.

How has Golden turned on his players? Said we don't have true 2-3 deep depth at wr, which is true.

We have 4 wr's who have played. One in Scott who hasn't played in years, and 3 who haven't played at all including a true freshman who just stepped on campus a month ago.

Are you that stupid?

He has 7 upperclass WR on the roster that were recruited by him + Cager.

That is 8.

Why the f**k does it even matter at this point who our 3rd string WR is...why is he complaining about it?

How many more does he need?

How tell me what Leonard Hankerson, Tommy Streeter, and Allen Hurns did before they became starters ...

We have plenty of depth at WR, because we have plenty of talented guys on the roster at the position. The fact that they don't have stats is because there were other guys ahead of them on the field, not that those kids still on the roster are not talented.

And him saying that could give the impression that he feels that way ...

But If Golden really said that, I think he was likely parroting his recruiting pitch.

He can't be in living rooms talking about "needing kids", then talk to the media about having enough depth.

Still a shady comment from him ... But I get it.

Career Stats + or - a few yards for lazy math.

Stacey Coley 750yds 7tds
Herb Waters 890yds 8tds
Braxton Berrios 232 yds 3tds
Malcom Lewis 425 yds 2tds
Rashawn Scott 550yds 3tds

Darrel Langham 0 everything
Tyre Brady 0 everything
Lawrence Cager 0 everything

2800 career yards and 24 td's between 8 players really screams depth and experience.

I don't think you understand how good Herb Waters and Stacey Coley could be if they were used properly and not mindf**ked on a daily basis by Golden.

Coley would be a first team all american THIS YEAR if he was kept on the field and targeted 10 times per game.

Instead, Golden will roll out Damauri Jones in the send quarter against GT.

Why, because Stacey Coley is tired?

Is this tee ball or college football?

Are you saying the 2001 team did not have enough depth at WR with Andrew Johnson, Ethnic Sands and Kevin Beard and Daryl Jones? Those are the only WR's to have catches that year.

Daryl Jones and Ethic Sands were average players at best.

Beard was good but not great.

All of the great receivers demand and need the football to be great....Dez, T Owens, R Moss, etc. They would have transferred immediatley if they had to deal with this bulls**t.

Folden is always turning on players. Stop being Ghey!

So we would need 9 WR's to have a three deep?

3 starting WR positions X 3 players at each spot?

So we are missing one WR?

Is that what he is *****ing about?

Only on these boards can someone look at numbers and equate that to depth. It's not depth if the players aren't amounting to much. You can blame Ghoulden for mis-evaluating all you want but the fact is that our WRs are a big question mark going into the season...

Scott - didn't play last year
Coley - became virtually invisible after getting nailed against Louisville
Brady - potential is there
Langham - stiff raw kid
Berrios - nice 3rd WR
Waters - perpetual doghouse kid. Don't even know if he can play

and on and on.

Lol....you are dumb and forgot to include Malcom Lewis.

I love how you say Brady is the one with potential and Coley and Waters can't play.

Golden has completely destroyed the college careers of Waters and Coley to this point.

He loves to tell the world how bad his players are as excuse to why he failed.

It's his fault then. He inherited a team with like 5 NFL wideouts on the roster he should have continued to add on to it. First he should have made speed a priority. Those big wideouts running 4.8's and 4.9's wasn't going to cut it.

Nice reading comprehension, jackass. Fine, throw in Malcolm Lewis. He's an average college WR. He's a solid 3rd/4th WR. Woopteedoo.

Never said Coley can't play. Do you refute that he completely vanished after Louisville? And Waters? Do you know that he can play? No, you don't.

I'm waiting for Greg Golden to break into the 2 deep. You know it's coming.

He "vanished" because Golden kept him off the field.

Why is Damauri Jones playing in the 2nd quarter in the most important game of the year against GT? The same Damauri Jones that was let go by Golden.

Herb Waters vanished because Golden chose to make him vanish.

Just like Chad Thomas and Tyriq MCord will vanish in favor of Trent Harris because he is a "nicer" kid.

What does Al Golden need to win?

I'm trying to figure it out....

Duke, Walford, Dorset, Coley, Waters, Flowers, etc. wasn't enough to win more than 6 games in the ACC with the "14th ranked" defense in the nation.

Maybe if he had Jerry Rice, Terrel Owens, Randy Moss and Andre Johnson we could win 10 games.

Golden evaluated Coley and Waters properly...

He just doesn't know how to use them.

Scott and Waters will both be gone after this year no matter what. Coley will be too if he lives up to the hype.

That leaves us with Berrios, Lewis, Cager then Brady and Langham for next year. That is about as thin and scary as it gets. He didnt blame anything on it, he was stating a fact whether its his fault or not.

thats not what he is saying...he is sasying this year we arent deep which is utterly pathetic..... Moar excuses

WE have 4 recievers that are starting caliber then you throw in Malcolm who got major PT his freshman year....get this guy Godlen outta my face outta my face!!!
