New unis

LMFAO. Please stop.

They started it in 06. In 07 they had a 14th ranked class. Then followed that up with the 34th ranked class in 08, the 30th ranked class in 09...and then the 12th ranked class in 2010, which was the class signed after Chip Kelly’s first year as a head coach. So they were mostly signing classes in the 30s until Chip Kelly took over. STOP.

So your just going to throw out the fact that the year after they initiated the jerseys they went up 36 spots? Also the year before that 12th ranked class they did another jersey upgrade. Maybe in your era players didnt care about the jerseys and Im sure you can find some good ol boy lineman that dont care nowadays, but I can assure players want swag. But I know tons of kids who have went to P5 schools over the past 6 years or so and a common theme is jerseys. Kids want to look good on TV when everyone is watching them. They arent going to go to UCF over Bama because of the jerseys, but if it comes down to Oregon or Northwestern all things equal they are going to the school with the better jerseys. I personally know 2 kids that went to Oregon and the jerseys was a big deciding factor in their decision.

Oregon also had a few highly ranked classes in the early 2000s when they signed kids like cameron colvin. Did they have “swagged out” uniforms then or were they just riding the high from Joey Harrington and their fiesta bowl win a few years before? The only time they ever recruited consistently at a fairly high level was when they had Chip Kelly. You’re doing nothing but speculating because of a few soundbites you read in recruiting articles where kids praise the school they like the most.

Changing your jerseys for the sake of changing your jersey doesn’t mean they are good either. All of oregon’s uniforms are god awful.

That is your opinion a lot of kids would disagree that they are god awful. At the end of that we are going to have to agree to disagree, but right now the most popular jerseys with the fans and the players is the Black out jerseys and the All whites. That is an actual fact from a recent graduate who still has ties to kids on campus.

Strong stuff there. A “recent graduate who still has ties to campus.” Lmao

I am saying that because you don't seem to be in tune with the kids who are going to be playing football for us. We are not trying to sign 50 year old men, we are signing kids. I stop by my friends apartments next to campus during the season prior to games to pregame so I am still in the know on how the student body thinks. The kids get absolutly pumped when there is a white out or black out game.

When you stop by your friend's apartment is it with permission or more of a Kramer-on-Seinfeld kind of thing?

Its a "im having a pregame for the game on Sat" text and I come through. Usually at Red Road or Merrick, but Downtown/Brickell are also common.

Please stop embarrassing yourself.

Not embarrassing myself. Just stating a fact. Recruiting has changed a lot since you have been on campus. Gotta change with the times.

You have no idea how old I am or when I went to UM, so stop running your mouth before I make you look really silly.

Gotta change with the times. Hah. Tell that to clemson, alabam, georgia, usc, psu, notre dame...none of these schools change their uniforms every game. The only school who does is oregon...and theyve never had a top 10 class. Go to sleep kid.

You wont make anyone look silly. I can tell by how out of touch you are, that you aren't young. Again, you're a fool if you think kids dont care about jerseys. If any of those teams stopped winning you will see their rankings drop quickly. All things equal kids want the school with the cooler jerseys.

Nobody said kids don’t care about jerseys you idiot. You’re the moron who said that UM would recruit better if we changed our jerseys up like oregon...which isn’t supported by any evidence whatsoever. Stop posting you UM reject. Did you even get into FIU?

Again...you have no idea how old I am or when I graduated from UM. You keep confusing “not young” with “not retarded.”

I graduated from the UM business school under Shalalas reign when it was its most competitive. Yes, it would correlate. Even if we only got 1 or 2 kids from it every few years it would be worth it.

So you are older than me, and you write like a three year old. I don’t believe for a second that you went to UM because you don’t even know how to use the word correlate.

I say there’s no empirical evidence to support your dumb opinion...and you come with more speculation. Amazing.

I graduated 2014. You graduate later? So you are telling me that you are on campus and in tune with the students and players and don't think jerseys make a difference? Everyone is rocking the Black and white jerseys right now. Those are the most popular jerseys on campus.

You may have graduated from high school in 2014, but not UM. I didn’t tell you any of that. Faced with evidence that Oregon’s recruiting was always pretty much the same except for when they had Chip Kelly...evidence that none of the top recruiting teams switch up their uniforms with lame gimmicks...you counter with “people on campus wear white and black jerseys.” Good lord.

Nope graduated from UM 2014. Considering you are so out of touch. Let me guess you lived in Stanford as a freshman and then moved to Eaton as Sophmore? That is not my point. My point is the type of people we want to recruit(young men) want cool jerseys and they want multiple options. Its a fact and just walking around campus or talking to students will prove that to you.

I don’t know how we ever lost Dennis Briggs or Jamarcus Chatman to FSU with our multiple jersey options. Black jerseys bro!!

How’d we lose Pat Surtain to Alabama?

You are a bumbling idiot. I said it earlier it is not the most important thing, but when things are close the jerseys make the difference.
