New UM Training Table

You DO realize what's expected of a Div 1 football player at a school like Miami??? They should definitely have their own dining room & if you don't understand why you just have no idea as to what's expected of them.

As a student, whose parents paid full tuition, at UM, it used to irk me off that the "student-athletes" had their own private dining hall....and the reality was that it was really only for the football team. Of course, this was 20 year ago, but it looks like some things haven't changed.

In reality, these athletes are a tremendous source of revenue for the school. These investments are a drop in the bucket.

Don't take it the wrong way. I love my Hurricane Football, but when you are there as a student.... and these are your fellow "students," you take on a different perspective. These are just guys taking the same classes (sort of) as you. Football revenues truly only subsidize the other sports on campus.

I was a college student. Not at UM, but at a place where the athletes ate/lived better. Frankly, I wasn't too interested in waking up at 5am to make morning practice or perform elite physical activities in the middle of 100+ degree heat later that afternoon, so I kept my mouth shut about them eating a little bit better than me. I find that perspective to be insane, really.

Last thing the players need are rabid student/fans all over their **** as they try to eat.

I don't mean for this to come out the wrong way, but couldn't we jazz that place up a bit? It looks rather boring to me. Especially when the Alabamas of the world are rolling out waterfalls and arcades and ****. Recruits these days are attracted to flashy stuff like that. This looks like an Arbys. I know we don't have nearly as much money in our football budget, but at least throw a U on the wall or something.

Yeah? Well when your talents start bringing in Millions for the University then maybe you can ask for a hot dog stand or something.

I see several tables. I thought we were spending all that money on one big table.

9 TV's put together and 20 tables for food that would have been served to the same students in another location. I am also an alumni and incurred a ****load of debt but see nothing wrong here.

If you pay full tuition to Miami, for Undergrad education, that is a tremendous waste of money

What a loser!!! The football team needs to have their own didning hall. They are held to a different standard as far as nutrition.

So you're saying entitled, spoiled, rich kids like yourself should have a private chow hall too?

Wow.... how do you walk around with such a heavy chip on your shoulder??? Entitled and spoiled don't automatically coincide with wealth. It's too bad that you lump these together.

So this man is a combination of the worst? Entitled and spoiled but don't even got those dolla dolla bills!!!

Because it's ridiculous to pay that much for an undergrad degree these days.

Could the brand new training table be anymore vanilla? Jeez. Even thought it is just a dining hall, the place seems very bland and not very enticing.

So how big is this table anyway? Why is it so expensive? We talking Marble? Imported Mahogany? What?
