New roster weights

Mark Pope's weight is definitely concerning going into year 3.

Here is a list of the WR's that were drafted.

The average for 6.1 is 204 pounds. The lightest 6.1 receiver is 185 and ran a 4.35.

170 pounds is a problem for any receiver, let alone one that is 6.1.

I don't care about the draft. There have been a zillion college WRs who have excelled at 6 feet and 170 pounds.

I don't recall if any of the linemen were considered to have great feet and being able to operate in space. Thus the bulk and maul 'em approach.

I’m a little surprised with the increased weight for most of the OL. In a spread offense even a run heavy Scheme like Lashlee runs, zone blocking is more often used than hat on hat or combo. Zone blocking favors more lean and athletic line man. I wonder f he intends to run more power and inside run in a single back set.

It’s 2020. Offensive linemen are all over 300 pounds now. The guys who put on the most weight were young guys who needed to gain some mass anyway.

Lashlee system favors quicker receivers who can create separation in small spaces. Pope ( don’t think he is 6’1) has Top notch lateral quickness and should eat in the new system. Payton is the goods and the freshman WR will play a lot ( see you Restrepo and Redding ) & same for the two RB younling beasts.

I think the OL/all current weight is the heaviest there will be and should lose some pounds when they practice at full blast.

Pope shouldn't be strange to you at that height and weight, his frame is rail thin. I know some people expect a lot from him, I just don't see it coming at this level. I think he has the potential to get it going, but he'll have to be one tough SOB to make it through the season. One big hit and he's likely to split in two.

Yes, I know this won't be popular, but hoping for the best here.
Yeah if he comes over the middle against Clemson he will get decleated

I was waiting on this thread. I really wanted to know what Cuban Cane thought about the thread on," weight gain" that already exists

.

Travis Benjamin, on his 2nd or 3rd NFL contract says ”hi fellas”

OH NO! I think 3 big *** NFL defensive backs hitting him at the same time “broke him” ... all 165 lbs of him.
