I have an idea.... call me crazy, but why dont Us and USC cancel the ND game and schedule eachother. Just as a pure **** YOU to NDi brought this up already....they are already shoed into the playoffs....which is why i would cancel it...they are hoping we stay on ....as we would be one of their good wins and in the middle or late part og the schedule...**** that...i dont care about no catholics vs convict nostalgia.
That USC game isnt locked in on schedule. **** DEMM ...are AD needs to scrap the game.
Exactly. Why deal with it. Just focus on the conference. Unless we have only one loss we aren’t getting in any other way most likely
Also they are still punishing the number in the loss column too much so the risk/reward isn't there, 3 losses basically eliminates you.Exactly. Why deal with it. Just focus on the conference. Unless we have only one loss we aren’t getting in any other way most likely
No **** Sherlock Holmes but that's not the point. There is essentially no incentive to play ND next year. Win and it likely doesn't matter like this year, lose and we're f'd, so it's a lose/lose proposition. Schedule another P4 pantyweight and don't risk a loss.
Bunch of ***aloons negged my OP but you're starting to see what's happening/happened.

If/when the committee screws us we should cancel this game.
Add another home game and play UCF.
Will curb stomp them, get credit for a P4 win, and they will pack the stadium making up for the payment to get out of the ND game.
No point in playing OOC heavyweight games any more. Just follow the Indiana model and schedule layups and try to make the conference title game.
We literally got zero benefit from beating ND and UFag other than the satisfaction of beating down a rival and ND has since rubbed it in our faces even though we won.
You play the game and them beat that *** again.
I hate ND, but truly, our playoff beef is w the process and the committee.
You always relush the opportunity to curb stomp the Irish.
Why show ND that level of respect? Our approach is theyre no different than one of these small school nobodies.Disagree. I think you make the
loudly and publicly point that there is no purpose for any team in cfb to play Norte Dame in a regular season game since if you win the playoff committee views it as irrelevant. Someone else can get screwed from now on. Going to focus on conference play instead.
Another can't see the forest for the trees guy.You think we would have been better off today if we had played a scrub instead of ND??? Seriously??
Us beating ND is the reason we are in the 12th place. .... Replace ND with FAMU, we would be #15 or worse. The ND win keeps us in the conversation.
We are in this predicament because we lost 2 games that we had no business losing... the SMU loss was completely on Mario and the staff... coming off a bye, totally unprepared, pus$y call to end the 1st half, keeps running the ball on a team with the worst pass defense.......on and on.
Having good wins keeps us ahead of teams with similar records. Losing to teams we shouldn't in November, is the problem
I think we keep the game, lose closely, and secure an early season quality loss.
Another can't see the forest for the trees guy.
Maybe if we didn't spend all Spring/Summer preparing for ND/UF we could have spent that time preparing to skull **** the ACC opponents.
Yes I do.You think lack of preparation in spring and summer for SMU and Louisville was the problem?
Early quarters aganist ND and FSU proved that skull ******* ACC opponents didn't need any more preparation.... it was Mario's brain retardation that was the problem and that was ambly exposed against SMU and Louisville...
