ND Game Next Year

i brought this up already....they are already shoed into the playoffs....which is why i would cancel it...they are hoping we stay on ....as we would be one of their good wins and in the middle or late part og the schedule...**** that...i dont care about no catholics vs convict nostalgia.
That USC game isnt locked in on schedule. **** DEMM ...are AD needs to scrap the game.
I have an idea.... call me crazy, but why dont Us and USC cancel the ND game and schedule eachother. Just as a pure **** YOU to ND

Bunch of ***aloons negged my OP but you're starting to see what's happening/happened.

Exactly. Why deal with it. Just focus on the conference. Unless we have only one loss we aren’t getting in any other way most likely

Win the conference. Clemson is in the dumps. FSU is a dumpster fire. Miami has more talent, BY FAR, than SMU, Pitt, UVA or GT. No reason for Miami to lose those games besides bad coaching. Miami could potentially get in to the playoffs as a 3 loss team - 2 OOC losses and 1 conference loss, just win the ACC. As I said earlier , a smart scheduler will load up on toughest conference games early so they don’t have film, then feast on cupcakes for the back half (that’s where you can also put your Stanfords and NCSts).

Also they are still punishing the number in the loss column too much so the risk/reward isn't there, 3 losses basically eliminates you.

If Texas played a cupcake instead of Ohio State they would still be alive.

BYU scheduled no one and has bad opponent-adjusted metrics but is ahead of Miami because of the loss column.

No **** Sherlock Holmes but that's not the point. There is essentially no incentive to play ND next year. Win and it likely doesn't matter like this year, lose and we're f'd, so it's a lose/lose proposition. Schedule another P4 pantyweight and don't risk a loss.

You think we would have been better off today if we had played a scrub instead of ND??? Seriously??

Us beating ND is the reason we are in the 12th place. .... Replace ND with FAMU, we would be #15 or worse. The ND win keeps us in the conversation.

We are in this predicament because we lost 2 games that we had no business losing... the SMU loss was completely on Mario and the staff... coming off a bye, totally unprepared, pus$y call to end the 1st half, keeps running the ball on a team with the worst pass defense.......on and on.

Having good wins keeps us ahead of teams with similar records. Losing to teams we shouldn't in November, is the problem

One of the most asinine and insanely stupid lines I keep hearing from people in the media is, “Notre Dame’s losses are better than Miami’s.” Bro, WTF are y’all talking about? They LOST TO MIAMI. Full stop. End of story. Adios. In essence, they’re basically saying, “Notre Dame is better than Miami because they lost to Miami.” The whole premise is so absurdly stupid it’s actually hilarious, if we’re being perfectly honest.

ACC needs to get more out of our partnership with ND or dump them.

With other conference going to 9 conference games, ND is going to have a hard time filling up their schedule with quality P4 teams. It'll be even tougher for them if they lose to us and then still get into the playoffs and we don't. They use the ACC to get a bunch of mediocre wins to pad their resume and then play 1 or 2 tough games a year and lose them and still get in.

With the B1G and SEC and ACC going to 9 games, the ACC has leverage over ND to hold their feet to the fire. I'm not sure what else they can get from ND but it's time to make the partnership mutually beneficial and not just a way for ND to fill their schedule with P4 teams so they can avoid being forced to join a conference.

You play the game and them beat that *** again.

I hate ND, but truly, our playoff beef is w the process and the committee.

You always relush the opportunity to curb stomp the Irish.

If/when the committee screws us we should cancel this game.

Add another home game and play UCF.

Will curb stomp them, get credit for a P4 win, and they will pack the stadium making up for the payment to get out of the ND game.

No point in playing OOC heavyweight games any more. Just follow the Indiana model and schedule layups and try to make the conference title game.

We literally got zero benefit from beating ND and UFag other than the satisfaction of beating down a rival and ND has since rubbed it in our faces even though we won.

if we beat Pitt and do not make the playoffs the same day we need to cancel the Notre Dame game.

add in FAMU or FIU.

Disagree. I think you make the
loudly and publicly point that there is no purpose for any team in cfb to play Norte Dame in a regular season game since if you win the playoff committee views it as irrelevant. Someone else can get screwed from now on. Going to focus on conference play instead.

Why show ND that level of respect? Our approach is theyre no different than one of these small school nobodies.

Idk man, I just dont like the idea of UM refusing to play a hated rival.

Mop them boys and their bew HC ( Freeman going pro) and handle the ACC bidness.

Another can't see the forest for the trees guy.

Maybe if we didn't spend all Spring/Summer preparing for ND/UF we could have spent that time preparing to skull **** the ACC opponents.

Follow the SEC & Ohio State model - one big outside conference game. We had a gauntlet of ND, Florida & South Florida. Then, opened at FSU. Florida & FSU are down, but not necessarily at the time & huge rivals.

You think lack of preparation in spring and summer for SMU and Louisville was the problem?

Early quarters aganist ND and FSU proved that skull ******* ACC opponents didn't need any more preparation.... it was Mario's brain retardation that was the problem and that was ambly exposed against SMU and Louisville...

Yes I do.

We spent the whole Spring/Summer preparing for ND and UF and put a lot of tape out there for the smart ACC coaches to devise a plan of attack against us. Had we played a couple of low P4 teams there isn't the same tape out there for Brohm to analyze.
