More on Ole Miss coaching situation

If Lane wanted to stick it to Ole Miss (desperately wanting a Miami win), he'd demand the coaches leave for Baton Rouge. As far as I am concerned, Lane's departure hasn't meant jack ****. The team keeps winning. I'm all for Lane pulling the coaches, but highly doubt that happens. I'm of the mindset that larger forces are at work behind the scenes.

I feel like this is smokescreens and fake narratives. Ole Miss will be ready to play.

Bunch of SEC bull**** being pumped out by their hype machine, ESPIN. None of this rhetoric about wanting Miami (of all teams) to win makes any sense. If there were legs to it, the media would be running with headlines about Ole Miss losing all of its coaches during a playoff run.

Under his contract with LSU, Layne gets paid for each appearance/win Ole Miss makes in the CFP. So he certainly has some motivation to continue loaning his coaches out to Ole Miss. The Media loves to create narratives, but Weis is calling the plays so I don't see this side show having any effect on the Ole Miss players.

Tight ends coach/co-offensive coordinator Joe Cox and receivers coach/passing game coordinator George McDonald aren't expected to coach in the Fiesta Bowl, the sources said. Cox and McDonald helped coach Ole Miss in its first two CFP victories against No. 11 Tulane and No. 3 Georgia.

Watch the narrative be... we beat up on a coachless team to get to the natty.... 😂

Maybe they will be ready. But remember they were pretty bad in situational football and adjustments. They could not even go out of bounds and bring out a FG team for Pete’s sake. Defensively they made some decent adjustments but they played a weak zone that Branch and Young were able to find the weak spots. That is how they will miss their staff.

Moscona is very plugged in in Baton Rouge fyi

How much has Ole Miss had to scheme for their first 2 playoff games? They played both Tulane and Georgia in the regular season, so they had already seen what they do on film and in person.

Miami will be the first game the staff will really have to buckle down on scheme and film - so this coaching situation might be a real issue for the first time ......... thoughts?

You know those guys from Ole Miss showed what they were made out of against Georgia—their confidence came from them circling up the wagons and playing for each other. They've responded to the hand they were dealt—no choice.

We better set the tone like we have so far and get on them quick. We don't want to let them hang around.

agree. we need early splash plays. The Keionte scott play against OSU put some doubt and pressure on OSU. Fast start. Get Ole Miss questioning and doubting their entire gameplan.
