Miami still has a chance to win the ACC Coastal LMAO

Miami isn’t winning the Coastal and they are not going to a bowl game. Who wants to see this dumpster fire lose 58-0 to Clemson again?

Needing all of those situations to happen just to win the trash coastal only to then get raped by Clemson again. Sounds fantastic. Do people even realize that if that were to play out, it only makes it that much more difficult to get rid of Richt and/or for major changes to occur? You guys rather live in purgatory longer just to win a garbage coastal title this year? As CD says, "jesus wept".

Maybe the Canes do need another 58-0 gashing to get rid of Richt.

Exactly. Too bad this isn't a scenario like for NFL teams getting into the Playoffs that you see at the end of the season:

Lol that's actually not a bad point. I just worry about the optics being "he just won the coastal back to back years, everything seems to be going in the right direction."

Not that it matters this season, but winning the coastal is "a" goal, though I agree it should never be "the" goal.

Regardless, posting these scenarios right now is absurd. I'm cautiously hoping we make the 12/19 DXL Frisco Bowl against the Green Wave, and there are actually human beings still talking about an ACCCG appearance? Bizarro world.

Based on the posts above, I'll go out alone and say I absolutely would rather win the Coastal than not. Extra game, extra practices, back to back Coastal champs (even on an absolutely pathetic season for the division), chance to play Clemson who even though I agree 100% would spank us, I'll take that game all day, better bowl, etc. Even sadder we have gotten to a point where most of our fans would rather see us lose / not make it to Charlotte. I get your reasons for that, no need to fire back. Just saying I personally disagree.

I agree with your post and would take playing one more extra game (with the extra practices and a better bowl game) than to see another championship game go down without us being involved. But that is up to the kids and the coaches now. Does this team have the fortitude/guts/willingness to win out or do they fold quicker than dog crap? By Saturday night we will begin to have an answer to that question.

I hear you but I vehemently disagree.

Winning the ****** *** garbage Coastal right now would be THE worse thing that could happen. It would bring the Richt supporters back into full force and Richt would have his excuse to keep the status quo with minimal changes.

I'm sorry, but right now I'm only rooting for things that cure the disease. If it doesn't cure the disease I could give a rat's *** about temporary short term goals. I'm worried about the program as a whole. We need to lose every **** game down the stretch in order to turn the heat up on Richt and this inept administration as much as humanly possible.
 
How bout scoring a ******* TD against Georgia Tech

I get that, my point was more that it's a team goal (at the beginning of the year). And I also agree that at this point, as some others have mentioned, winning the coastal would provide Richt an opportunity to say, "you see, guys, everything is fine, just let me keep doing what I'm doing." And without major changes to the coaching staff (QB coach, OL coach, OC with playcalling, ST coach) and changes to the offensive philosophy and playcalling, I fear we may be stuck in a rut next season and beyond.

Even knowing all of that, it's hard to root against the U and especially the players. I know I won't have the heart to root for an L against Pitt. It'll be Senior Day, and guys like Jaquan, Redwine, and Willis don't deserve to go out like that. ****ty situation any way you slice it.
