Miami needs receivers immediately!!

Can we also implement these facemasks?

I know when he was hired I joked about Gattis running 4 TE sets, but honestly...I wouldn't mind seeing that after last night

I don't have a problem with Gattis's offensive strategy. We don't have a lot of talent so shortening the game is makes sense. The issue I have with Gattis is he hasn't schemed his pass selection to TVD strengths. Running uptempo occasionally wouldn't kill him. Moving the pocket and running more RPO would help our personnel. Almost all of TVD completions come from not having to read through his progressions. Gattis's red zone offense can kick rocks though. Nobody can defend that trash.
He should’ve Ran uptempo the entire 2nd half. That should’ve been the 1/2 time adjustment by Gattis especially since T8&4 was gassed on defense.

Other teams do way more on offense with lesser personnel and a lesser QB (example is Murray St vs Arkansas).

Us having crappy receivers might be in relation to Elite teams but there is still talent there and as much as I have dislike the play of TVD he is still talented. Last year was not a fluke but he needs the offensive coaches to help him out.

I hope moving forward, fans don't complain when we run the ball more than we pass. We need to play to our strength on offense, and that's OL and RBs

Bama has been throwing the ball around the yard the last 4-5 years. You don’t win Heismans with a qb and wr running the ball, eating clock. Saban evolved. Uga has some of the best defenses in history , they’re the exception not the rule. People have to stop using them as the example , we don’t have millions of dollars to buy 20 five stars lol.
For me, the Gattis divorce came with the Flea Flicker call.

Some knew before, others, like me, now and some others will realize it later.

Although it was a completion for a first down, that was his creative play. I gave him way more credit that he was more creative with his play calls.

Either he and Mario have a come to Jesus during Middle Tenn and the bye week before UNC or we will have to pitch a shutout to win.

Could take a lunch break while waiting for a play to develop...if this is the concept, good luck playing UNC, Pitt, Clemson etc.

They’re gonna complain. I’m not sure what good it will do given the level of talent we’ve seen at WR. More spread concepts in space would at least help create openings but they still need to catch the ball which continues to be a problem.

We have a Ferrari at QB and we’re running E-85 through it with this receiver group. TVD missed some open throws tonight, no question, but there are zero dudes to be afraid of if you’re a DC facing Miami this year. Pathetic showing.
TVD threw into crowds more than I'd like to recall. He was lucky not to have 3-4 picks easy. Receivers couldn't separate (no surprise) but TVD looked mediocre too.

It’s true. Man press is easy to beat with fades smh. Send the TE on a seem to keep safety occupied and you can run really any route (outside the numbers) against it because the defender is guessing more than ever.
They actually did exactly one time (the broken up pass to Arroyo that TVD under threw otherwise it’s a TD but they didn’t go back to play enough after that.

I think it’s a combination of talent and lack of maximum what talent there is with the proper schemes. No way a guy who is a Broyles winner can’t come up with a single red zone play to get us in the end zone I’m not buying it.

Respectfully disagree because your other strength being ignored is your QB.

TVD wasn’t his best last night but the offense coaching staff isn’t playing to his strengths either. This isn’t the 1990s and you will lose more often than you win if you keep playing this style.

Just about everyone who follows this team KNEW that our WR room was going to be a problem, for us, and not the other team. For the life of me, I just don’t understand why Mario didn’t hit the portal harder to get us some wideouts. Also, we really need to hire a primary WR coach. Losing McClendon to Georgia looks like an even bigger loss now for this season, for recruiting and coaching. Going back to my initial point though, even though we all expected the receiving corps to be the weakness of the offense, I don’t think anyone expected it to be THIS bad.

Knew another WR should’ve came in. I’m all for letting our young pups get developed, but when you see Bama getting multiple guys from the portable, despite how they recruit, why shouldn’t we? Stack talent. Ladson should not have been our only WR from the portal. Not including Young, as I never saw him playing this year.

Can qb be considered a strength if he is not in sync with his wideouts? Yes this isn't the 90s and we don't have a 90s style run game either in case you haven't noticed. If we would have committed to running the ball more and passing out of playaction, we win last night.

George played fine. He made plays when we called his number, although he can’t get tripped up by that guy on the ground because we desperately needed a touchdown.

Both Smiths were disappointing.

Brinson was invisible.

Redding wasn’t great.

Mallory played okay, but you can tell the injuries have taken a toll on him. He’s clearly lost a step. I don’t see the speed he used to have, and you can’t expect to get YAC with him.

Parrish and Knighton played awesome — so did the offensive line. We did, however, need Parrish to catch that pass underneath on that critical 3rd down in the 1st half.
If Mallory can’t block anyways why not just play Skinner? I bet he’s better carrying the ball than 50 year old Mallory

You know what helps getting receivers open ? Not congesting them inside the hashes most of the time. Eliminating space versus Lashlee using space to help the receivers. We need wr’s but this offense is helping.
TVD missed a wide open Redding on a crossing route, he’s part of the problem

Sloppy *** routes is an issue most people won’t see. The deep comeback by i believe by 83 was an awful route. But it looked like Tvd missed him.
Ran it like he wasn’t expecting the ball to be there right when he turned his head smh

Luckily WR crootin is going well, right? Nope, Gattis can’t croot, can’t coach.

All of the top receivers off the board. Flipping an elite receiver is a pipe dream with this pathetic offense.
We need to overpay in the portal
