Live Miami Hurricanes @ Notre Dame 11/7/26

Ok, you tell me. A receiver catches the ball with two hands, no bobbles. Comes down with both feet in the end zone. Does not go to the ground. How much time has to pass before a defender knocks the ball out to be a score?

A football move. He dropped it while taking the next step. This happens every week.

Okay yeah go ahead and post the rule that states “even if a player has possession with two feet down and steps out of bounds if a defender comes in and knocks the ball out after the play is over it’s still incomplete”

Sure. The rule states that you have to complete the process of making the catch with a football move. This literally happens every week.
How does this apply if he steps out of bounds on his own power?

There’s no football move necessary and he didn’t drop it due to him falling and having to survive contact with the ground.

He caught it with 2 feet in standing up with possession and stepped out of bounds. After his third step touched out of bounds, the play is dead. Ball was punched out afterwards. Would be like if you caught the ball at the goal line with possession, took a 3rd step and broke the plane, and on your next step had the ball punched out.

Well, we know what we need to do. We have to win the ACC to get into the CFP

It would have been better with a win, but we needed this game as preparation for a playoff run. Win out and get a 1st round game at home. A bye is out of the question as we'll be ranked behind ND. We likely stay in the top 12, but is doesn't matter. Lose again and we're out.
Duke next week worries me

We never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

Toney and Mensahs incredible seasons essentially ended in 1 week.

Win this game and Mensah locks up the Heisman.

Pass defense is straight *** juice. Have no idea what they are doing. These guys are HS wide open!
Mensah will still win the Heisman because nobody can get J. Smiff the ball.
