So a receiver jumps up in the end zone, catches the ball with two hands, lands on two feet, and then stands there like a statue for 10 seconds before a defender finally walks over and slaps it out of his hands. No TD?That’s not true. You definitely have to control the ball beyond 2 feet down for a TD. But stepping out of bounds I’m not sure sure of
I expect we'll start slow. It will be even or we may be behind at half time, but we'll own the 2nd half.Duke next week worries me
And will some how try and gaslight everyone as to why Ole Miss should still be in the top 12 after getting obliterated by Georgia.Book it... Talking heads at the E$ECPN will talk about how Miami got exposed, overrated, blah blah.. But if this was this two SEC teams it would be a hard fought game, Miami played tough at South Bend, gritty win by ND, etc...
He didnt drop it while taking the next step...he dropped it after 3 steps, dude already got both feet in bounds and stepped out of the field of play. He needs 2 feet out of bounds too?
I don't know. I sure would have liked to find outAt 31-31 with 2 minutes left you guys think we win?
Cane card revokedIt wasn’t unfortunately
How does this apply if he steps out of bounds on his own power?
There’s no football move necessary and he didn’t drop it due to him falling and having to survive contact with the ground.
He caught it with 2 feet in standing up with possession and stepped out of bounds. After his third step touched out of bounds, the play is dead. Ball was punched out afterwards. Would be like if you caught the ball at the goal line with possession, took a 3rd step and broke the plane, and on your next step had the ball punched out.
He dropped it while taking that next step. You'll notice that this isn't controversial to any neutral observers.
Sadly, shouldn’t be a TD anywhere. Previous play with Upshaw could have been PI. Mensah call probably wasn’t target, but backside defender appeared to have a hand inside his collar as he was going down. This play gets called a TD anywhere else.

He does not drop it while taking the 3rd step. Still has possession.
You have to complete the catch all the way. It got knocked out in the continuation of the play.Ok, you tell me. A receiver catches the ball with two hands, no bobbles. Comes down with both feet in the end zone. Does not go to the ground. How much time has to pass before a defender knocks the ball out to be a score?
This. They didn’t deserve to win, but they showed pride and culture.Guys fought tonight. Very proud to be a cane
You're right, it's not controversial because they call it a TD every time. If he was still in the air and then landed while bobbling, then sure, it's not a catch. He was in possession with 2 feet down and no movement. No it doesn't. This play happens every week and isn't controversial.

I’m not trying to be a wise guy, I’d just like someone to articulate the actual rule. What’s control for a TD? 1 second? 3 seconds?
