Live Miami Hurricanes @ Notre Dame 11/7/26

That drive in the first half where mensah ran it twice from the 2 was the game
We had many other opportunities.

We got to midfield at the end of the first half, punted, then gave up a TD. The long punt return hurt us and led to an easy TD. Mensah's INT led to a TD. And we still had a chance to tie the game up late in the fourth.

We came out flat and shell shocked, frankly, and made a ton of mistakes yet still had a chance to win the game late.

Great fight, horrible start, and some sloppy execution throughout the game. I think we will be alright. We just need to put this game in the rearview and prepare for Duke, who is playing really well

How does this apply if he steps out of bounds on his own power?

There’s no football move necessary and he didn’t drop it due to him falling and having to survive contact with the ground.

He caught it with 2 feet in standing up with possession and stepped out of bounds. After his third step touched out of bounds, the play is dead. Ball was punched out afterwards. Would be like if you caught the ball at the goal line with possession, took a 3rd step and broke the plane, and on your next step had the ball punched out.

He dropped it while taking that next step. You'll notice that this isn't controversial to any neutral observers.

I have no idea what a catch is anymore and honestly it’s been one of the biggest mysteries in the game for a while now at College and NFL levels

Tennessee had one today that was possessed even longer and called incomplete.

After watching that and then seeing ours, I knew how it was going to be ruled

Proud of the boys besides the bad first half. Tough environment playing against a team that has to win. I know they had ppl out on D but Mali being out is way more significant than who they have out. A few mistakes cost us. Lofton not securing for a half second longer. Facemask on the QB draw. Mensah INT. Disappointed we didn’t overcome those mistakes but happy with how we fought the 2nd half

Between the non-TD call, number 12 holding the WRs every play and only called twice, and Mensah on that scramble got horse collared at the very least if you do call targeting, we got the ND officiating like expected.

With Mali, we beat this team.

We had the players to win this game…

Defense got a pulse 2nd half but Offense was stuck in the mud 1st half and didn’t come through when they needed to…

Plain and simple…

Book it... Talking heads at the E$ECPN will talk about how Miami got exposed, overrated, blah blah.. But if this was this two SEC teams it would be a hard fought game, Miami played tough at South Bend, gritty win by ND, etc...

Edit: Quality loss for Miami and other dumb **** they spew....
