Live Miami Hurricanes @ Notre Dame 11/7/26

Someone explain to me how that wasn't a penalty.

The rules analyst said it had to be crown of the helmet for it be a penalty

It was crown of the helmet.

What am I missing?

You're missing being a Notre Dame fan. Textbook targeting, letter of the law, obvious to everyone, and yet it wasn't at Notre Dame in South Bend.

Targeting is a good rule, sometimes players get caught when the ball carrier lowers their helmet, and we've been the offending player here and there. Not intention, but still m'fing targeting.

Okay, bed, son told me not to give up on the game, still waking up at 5. It's his game, so he better perform.

We dug way too deep a hole.

People saying Mensah played poorly are nuts. Our OLine is abysmal.
Mensah is as good as the OL. they were horrible in the 1st half and played much better in the 3rd and see the scoreboard. Dawson didnt do us favors with some terrible calls at times but OL is bigger factor that limits this teams potential in big games

He’s in the end zone. Control of the ball with not one, but two feet down. The play ends there. He doesn’t have to make a football move. He’s not going to the ground, so he doesn’t have to maintain control there.
That’s not true. You definitely have to control the ball beyond 2 feet down for a TD. But stepping out of bounds I’m not sure sure of

Okay yeah go ahead and post the rule that states “even if a player has possession with two feet down and steps out of bounds if a defender comes in and knocks the ball out after the play is over it’s still incomplete”

Sure. The rule states that you have to complete the process of making the catch with a football move. This literally happens every week.
