Miami considering hiring chief of football staff

Yeah, but unless that dude can fire Manny and get rid of the trinkets and cultural BS, the OC won't matter. At all.

Exactly. Can Mick Mulvaney fire Trump? This "chief of staff" language should be a red flag. It's all freakin pointless even if the dude is a co-equal to Diaz in the power structure.

Talk is cheap, let's actually do some of this stuff

I mean this whole new chief-of-football-staff stuff is a new concept that is just now going around.

Miami is three days past firing Dan Enos and starting to get things moving a better direction for 2020 after a dismal 6-7 season.

Even when this program tries to finally get something right, it still catches ****.

Issue has been ongoing for 15 seasons. Was never getting fixed overnight no matter who was hired this time last year.

Let it unfold—and be glad that they at least punted Enos and are thinking this way, as there has been many a season where a garbage coordinator was retained and nothing like this was being discussed.

Pretty sure they would have it be a position under both Blake and Manny. Thus the reason he said they would need to gel with Manny.
If that’s the case then then position is a joke and will not cure anything. And just more lip service from the admin to trick us fans into thinking they care about winning so we renew our season tickets and donations. But what they don’t realize is they’ve went to the well to many times and aren’t filling anyone anymore. Anyone who does let this fool them and renews there tickets and donations is an enabler and a huge part of the problem! I’m looking forward to seeing an empty stadium next year then followed but the firing of manure and his tranny boss!

Would make sense for the call not to fire Rumph coming from above as someone else alluded to the other day.

Whoever they hire needs to have a contrarian mindset and be willing to go to war within the athletic department. I have to assume that the football only CoS will not be accepted with open (unshaven) arms by the SJW's in the Athletic Department.

I would imagine this hire wont be made until they fire Manny. Why would Highsmith just come into a role especially if he doesn't think Manny is the man for the job. Forces this new position to accept what has already been decided.

You hire this role to help make the choice. Or they can hire him to do the dirty work.

Why not? We don't know if Manny is right for job yet. Gives the CEO time to evaluate and then make decisions. Fans can react impulsively. Not CEOs if they want to keep their jobs.
