Miami Admin Remains the Problem

Yeah not gonna blame the admin right now. They put up huge money to get Mario, Rad, Zo, and facilities. Sure, do i wish we got Urban instead? But thats not happening.
Yea if u ain’t going Urban I get it. But you had to go Urban if you want that fire quick. Mario is the building type of HC I knew that when he got hired. I thought it will take 4 years that’s how I felt. It’s such a mess that’s how long for him. Special guys like Urban are rare and they do not have the balls to pull the trigger.

I believe that’s his point..
That we made finally forked out money but made bad hires? We stole Rad from clemson and everyone considered that a huge hire. We hired Zo who this board was obsessed with for over 3 years. And we got Mario, a consensus top 20 coach and elite crooter. What did everyone expect? Seriously? Saban and Urban as co-HC's? Its been 1.5 seasons in a full blown rebuild. Not defending Mario but some of you are delusional

off topic but thank you for suing the dolphins Flores. led us to McDaniel instead of Payton.

why a full blown rebuild? there was enough talent to rebuild and win more than we have in 18 games. good coaching gets more wins out of the roster.

It’s just too much Miami & not enough critical thinking going on with this program.

Their answer for literally everything is just try to recreate the old Miami & that’s just stupid.

The decision makers & people with money are just stuck in the past.
They hired Al Golden, dude.

Dude was fired at UF because he hated recruiting but you want to hire yet another fired SEC coach.

Yes. He’s infinitely better than Mario. He would bring Miami what we haven’t had in over 20 years - quarterbacks and offense. You asked for a plan. That’s the blueprint. Hire a smart, experienced coach who will attract QBs. Make sure he has all the recruiting support he needs. Give him big NIL $. Mullen would have Miami in the ACCCG almost immediately.

Disagree.
Willing to spend more $, getting Zo and Rad is a huge positive change. When time to move on from Mario, I have more faith that Rad will make the right move than previous ADs.
I was never sold on Mario, but we’ll see. He’ll have a couple more years regardless. At least he’ll bring in some good players.

his track record in coaching hires isnt good. hes more a facilities guy as he was at Clemson.

Mario is gonna end up here for 7-8 years at least (whether he succeeds and gets an NFL shot or he fails and gets fired). tbh, I dont htink we have it in us to fire him and I dont think he'd stay if iit isnt working out. I think he loves UM more than all of us combined and will do the right thing w.e. it is at that point in time

Not sure when many of you all will learn that this program will be nothing until the people pulling the actual strings are changed.

It’s not TVD. It’s not our coordinators. It’s not the refs. We have people in charge of this athletic department that continue to make decisions based on everything but truly the desire to win. Mario was hired here because he was “their guy.” We all know that we were keeping Manny but for Mario. Rudy Fernandez? What a ******* nerd. The **** does he know about successful CFB? Rad is clearly here collecting paychecks. Everyone from top to bottom is a ******* loser.

If you need another example, look at baseball. A once proud program that interviewed some very competent candidates only to turn around and hire the idiot who has been a large source of the problem. But yet again, Miami was more concerned with hiring “their guy” instead of who is the most competent.

Laranaga is the only real coach in the entire place and had to send us his wiki because the geniuses in the AD never heard of him.

And yet some of you all think a new QB solves our problems 💀
Miami fans were calling for Larranaga's head just two seasons ago. When Miami basketball went:

2018-2019 14-18
2019-2020 15-16
2020-2021 10-17

If Miami fans had their way, Larranage wouldn't even be here. So, quit posturing.

I’m just pointing out what we already did. Check out the QBs Mark Richt recruited at UGA.

It’s the “not happening” because of the process…

Miami wasn’t going to interview Urban Meyer, Oscar Mayer or Golda Meir, unless they fit into the “Miami Box”

Or the perception (at a minimum) that Mario is happening with the money for Mario, not money for Miami or a Meyer, or a Franklin or a Kiffin or an etc…. That’s part of the broken part

lol and L had recruiting classes taken out by a fake scandal that led to it.

L also made an immediate improvement when he was hired

They also hired Larry Coker, Randy Shannon, Mark Richt, Manny Diaz & Mario Cristobal, dude.
I’m just pointing out that hiring Al Golden was flawed because he “just didn’t get Miami.” People called his philosophy dependent on Big 10 type players.

So many of you people complaining forget that the grass will ALWAYS be greener on the other side of the fence.

Also, Manny Diaz never played for Miami and he worked out so well.

The last QB from UM who did anything in the NFL was born in 1963. Over the last 25 years, we’ve had one drafted and play. I don’t think people understand how absurd that is. No kid we’re recruiting has ever watched a UM quarterback play in the NFL. The first priority should be hiring a staff that is most likely to fix that.
Wow. I never even considered that but you’re spot on. We haven’t had a top flight qb in ages. In todays game you need a guy with wheels who can get out of the pocket and pick up first downs. Also makes the defense have to prepare for the qb run. Wish Jacurri would learn to pas but that comes naturally so another recruiting miss I believe.
