MEGA Mega Merged Stadium Thread.

Yeah it’s a ******* dump. They put a canopy on it wooohooo. You think any of these kids you recruit give a **** about Hard Rock just because CANES HAM can tailgate at it? Worst stadium environment in the country and it’s not even close. The only thing worse right now is UCLA but they play in one of the most famous stadiums on the planet.

I must have missed the urine puddles at HRS when I was picking up my CBR at ***u and heading back to my stadium seat.

We need something to call home ASAP

For what? So an extra 2,000 students show up? At the expense of making it harder on the Broward / Palm Beach fans to come to games?

All these "other games"—you're talking about state schools in college towns where football is the only show in town on Saturday.

If there were a stadium at Tropical Park, you really think people would've packed it in for a 3:30pm kickoff against MIddle Tennessee, a week after losing at Texas A&M?

Stadium-schmadium. This program has sucked for 15+ years and is coming off of 7-5, a 21-15 run under Diaz and 28-24 since Richt's 10-0 start.

These are the same kids that would've been 4-8 last year if TVD didn't have some out-of-character handful of games when the pressure was already off at 2-4.

8-3 in 2020 would've been 3-8 without Deriq King, as well.

This isn't a good football team and these players aren't half as good as our fans want to believe they are—yet their egos told them they could no-show the game on Saturday and that they'd walk all over Middle Tennessee, despite some kids on this squad around in 2019 for the FIU debacle.

Mario and staff have their hands full with these entitled donkeys.

No fix for this. Cane fans didn’t go to games like today’s even when we were the best team in the nation. They’ll go to big games. But that’s about it.

Maybe we shouldn’t sked so many teams like Bethune, So. Miss and MTSU all in the same month. Those are attendance killers. One or two maybe but three?

Nailed it.

31,000 were in attendance at the Orange Bowl for Temple in 2001—year six under Butch, when the program was finally "back".

There are better things to do on Saturday afternoons in fall in South Florida. Welcome to following a program that has a small alumni base, small student body and where most fans didn't go to the school—so they don't have the same loyalty as alum.

That, and if you're going to one game last weekend at HardRock—is it Miami / Middle Tennessee or Dolphins / Bills? Entertainment dollar only stretches so far.

You think more people are going to show up in a different stadium? They won’t. But when a meaningful game comes around, you won’t get anywhere near the same noise or atmosphere as HRS.

Uh.......Butch wasn't there in 2001... and the program was finally back at the end of 99 when Dorsey took the reigns...

This isn’t the ONLY problem but we have NO home field advantage. Half empty, quite stadiums at kickoff make visiting teams more comfortable. We come out as flat as the stadium atmosphere. Idc what anyone says, these kids thrive off energy and juice from fans and packed stadiums! Watching other games today and seeing those atmospheres but us to shame. We need something to call home ASAP

What makes anyone think you'd have sell outs and a loud, noisy crowd at Tropical Park? Sure, t'd look better because it would be smaller venue but it's not the stadium that's impeding a home field advantage.

Clearly, there just aren't that many locals interested in UM football. The schedule so far was unattractive but that shoulda been balanced out by the presence/excitement of the new regime.

the amount of fans that go to a game at HRS will be more or less the same amount of fans that would go to a game at tropical park. win and they will come (or not, see 2001-2002 attendance).

No one GAF about Coastal teams in S. Fl. When is the last time you heard someone talk trash about UNC or GT? At least we mix up the schedule soon. I agree that if you are concerned about crowds, schedule home games against marquis opponents. We will likely lose. At first. However, this is an event town. People want high stakes. Case in point: ND.

Pay for the nosebleeds and move down to the field. But seriously, put a successful product on the field that will draw a crowd. Stop putting frosting on **** and calling it a cupcake.

maybe if the offense wasn't stuck in 1985 & it was an exciting product, ppl will be more inclined to actually go & be entertained. look no further than the difference in ATMOSPHERE at dolphins home games this year vs past years. UM doesnt need a sellout crowd to change the atmosphere, it needs to change the product on the field. if you put 40k in that stadium & ppl are actually entertained, then it would feel a lot different.

That time of the month?

Wasn't just fans ... A lot of respected folks thought we were gonna kill it

Still got time to get it back going.

Hate for a handful of mopes and/or Gator and Nole trolls to be the ones who called it 😐

They also fail to realize the countless articles about declining cfb attendance.
People have some bad memories. The past few years we’ve seen both UF and Fsu with half empty stadiums cause their teams sucked. But mfers on here keep spewing about “college atmosphere”. Only Nebraska and handful of college teams can talk sht about attendance. Most pro and d1 teams ain’t selling out sht unless they’re good.
The only time I’ve seen Heinz field packed was this game against Tennessee. And why? Because their were ranked had a lot of hype and they had a quality ranked team.

Miami’s attendance ain’t got sht to do with the stadium location.

The hurricanes are the closest thing to being a pro team in a major market attendance wise.
Remember when d wade first got drafted? The arena was empty. And if the heat suck all this fan loyalty bs is out the window.

If us and unc were undefeated this would be a night game with 60k in the seats and it would be prime time major network coverage. The way we were for vt and nd.

And we won 5 national championships this way.
