Cantwell???? The min they believe he can handle it, you can bet your bottom dollar he will be in somewhere!!!

It sucks but we don’t have idiots coaching the line, They know what needs to be done and I’m sure it will happen…..

With all these injuries we are building depth long term, even though it sucks.

Before the season started, I thought Miami had 4 guys (3 I saw personally) that could play on the edge in the summer.

Two of them have shown in game they cant do it when the bullets are flying (Cantwell and Meriweather).

If you lose McCoy, you’re down to one (1!) guy who can do it.

That’s a season ender to me.

True on that first rep back, but he settled back into the game and looked good after that.
 
Good news is Buchanan should be back for playoffs barring a setback.

(This is all under the precedent it’s only an MCL injury)

An MCL tear is 3 months usually for a full tear, less if it’s a partial - let’s assume it’s a full one. Modern medicine advancement has worked wonders - we’re seeing guys back from full ACL tears or Achilles injuries in 8 months. Sits all of October, November and starts working back late December.

Very doable to win ACC and either get a bye, or be the 5 seed playing a G6 school on Dec 18/19 and don’t need him.

I expect him back in some capacity for the quarterfinals Dec 30 or Jan 1. If we’re cooking without him, even better. Rest up for the semis Jan 14/15.

Best case scenario is meniscus and that can be 6 weeks to many months. So who knows. I wouldn't bet on him being back this season.
 
3 months to heal. Even if hes ahead of schedule, hes just going to jump into playoff level football after recovering for 3 months?

Doubtful. I wouldnt bank on him this szn at all. Maybe natty since thats like mid Feb this yr?
