Maurice Smith Alabama DB transfer

I like this pickup but yall need to stop sleeping on Redwine. He has that "Miami CB Mentality" that everyone on here likes to bring up. He's not just gonna lay down and give that spot up.

He can have mentality all he wants but if he cant get the job done he just cant. Redwine struggled in the spring so his spot isnt safe.

Well, that just like, your opinion, dude.

Welp that would put an end to the corner back depth problem. Really only need to be two deep at corner and with Elder, Redwine, Colbert and Smith that would be perfect. If Smith comes I see him starting opposite elder

that lineup would make me feel alot better. All are experienced guys and I believe Redwine will take a big jump. Knowles will be a decent backup

Now the the pendulum is swinging to the "good news' side.
This sheet is tough to follow day-to-day.

This would be a huge addition. With both Smith and Colbert, at least our CB depth would get out of "lol omg holy **** how did this even happen?" territory.

This would be huge

Immediately makes our defense better

We should still pursue that Baylor CB Parrish Cobb who is still trying to get his LOI release from the school

I like that college football now how's a free agent market...it helps make up for past recruiting failures

Just adding Smith could very well be the difference between 8 wins and 10 wins.

Disagree this was already a 10 win team now we have no reason we cant beat FSU win the ACC and participate in the cfb playoffs

Elder could lose his spot just as Redwine can.... Elder isnt that good of a boundary corner.

I would rather have Maurice Smith starting on one side, Redwine or Colbert the other with Elder playing a hybrid nickel, corner, safety role like the honey badger.

We didn't add Ed Reed man. Playoffs? Take it easy.

Win the ACC and you get in the playoffs.... An ACC title should be possible with the coaching staff, on field talent, and with a top 2 QB in the NfL Draft.

If you're undefeated. (We won't be)

It's time to inject some reality.

This guy coming to Miami is far from a done deal.

Nobody has said that, but some people are posting like he's enrolling soon.

Nothing has happened that's definitive.

No games have been played yet...every year is different and we have as much talent as everyone in the country except for Bama... with style of play being suited to our players, belief in a proven coach and we stay away from the injury bug we can be in the playoff...maybe even as a 2 loss team if those 2 losses are only to ND and FSU and we beat CU or FSU in the ACCCG.... Big dreams but hey everyone is "undefeated" now

No thats fact. Its been reported by several that he had struggles.

If he's graduated can't he go to another program and play the next year without restriction? As long as he's enrolled in graduate school?

Yes. But I'm saying that Alabama tried talking him into staying. It wasn't just a thing where they signed the papers and sent him on his way.

Got it. He just must not be happy either with perceived playing time, position, or a combination thereof

Antonio Crawford was a stud in my opinion and he left what would have been a starting position to go to WVU. So it happens. Sometimes dudes just want a clean slate.

Stud? Crawford wasnt that impressive in the spring at wvu according to reports i read on him.

Antonio Crawford was a stud? Seriously?

At best he was average here, and that's probably giving him too much credit.
