Maurice Smith Alabama DB transfer

Alabama's CB's are "system players" IMO.

I'm pretty sure Saban still plays nothing but Cover-4 and Cover-3. I'd think you'd want bigger CB's for those rolls. (I know I would, works for Seattle)

Those big a$$ Bama CB's look good when all they have to do is cover a deep 1/4 or deep 1/3. In the NFL they play a lot of man. Bigger CB's tend to struggle in man unless they're freaks like Patrick Peterson.

Yep Saban run still runs a lot of that cover 4 and 3. But when he had a guy like milliner who was a big corner but was fast too he let him play more man coverage.

Funny how guys are diq eating bama like their secondary has ever been great. The front 7 is the strength of their team every year. Nick sabans personally coached dB's are lalways the worst part of bamas defense.bama Corners suck in the NFL. But y'all on here acting like they have such an elite group our guys wouldn't start there. Foh corn, Artie, Howard, red wine could All start at bama. Now front 7 is a tad different

Burns is the only one that would have started at bama. Corn would be a nickel or dime at best and howard the same. Redwine wouldnt touch the field at bama.

Perhaps, he might just be interested in a field of study where Miami is strong...or maybe he likes South Beach.

Kid will be a huge addition! Much needed infusion of talent to the secondary

One actually played for a championship team and the other only played special teams for a 8-5 team. Seniors vs Sophomore. One was coached by Paul Williams and the other coaches by Saban. I really like Redwine but right now I'm sure the facts day Smith is better right NOW.

I was gonna say the longer he goes without signing with Miami the less likely it is for him to end up here. The more Saban and his staff works him the less likely I'd think it was for him to end up here. Hopefully it's all but a formality now.

Lets be real we have no idea if Maurice SMith is better then Redwine..no idea...

as of Today, yes, we can all assume Smith is better than redwine. Seemingly has all the physical ability and has been coached by Smart and Saban for the last three years as opposed to paul Williams and D'nofrio.

Redwine may be better as a senior who knows but we're adding depth of a very solid prospect late in the game in a position of need. There is NO negative to this
