Look up the areas in this country with the most concealed carry holders then look at violent crime rates.


Funny how Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws yet the worst gun violence. Hmmmm. I wonder why?


Tired of stupid *** Americans!!!! Dont want to solve problems. Just want to whine about a hunk of metal that cant do **** unless a person pulls the trigger.

Anti American? Do you think rights have free reign and cannot be limited? Have you ever tried protesting in front of an embassy? Even in Heller, Justice Scalia explicitly held that it can be regulated.

So are you going to now say Justice Scalia is "anti american." This is a completely ridiculous and obtuse statement and position and one of the issues facing us. I provided you with actual facts. And this reasoning that murders still occur despite laws against murder. Are you suggesting we should remove all laws? Yes, of course crimes still occur. We don't say let's stop trying to eliminate crime because someone will still commit a crime. But the facts are laws to deter crimes. This has been true over thousands of years and is the basis of society. The FACTS are that the more guns available the more gun violence there is. The more guns are accessible the more gun deaths there are. Those are the facts. You can continue to deal with opinions, feelings, and rhetoric if you'd like, since you dont want to deal with reality and rather peddle propaganda.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State

As former Chief Justice Warren Burger said (a lifelong conservative who was appointed by Nixon), "The gun lobby's interpretation of the Second Amendment is one of the greatest pieces of fraud, I repeat the word fraud, on the American People by special interest groups that I have seen in my lifetime."

"...the real purpose of the Second Amendment was to ensure that state armies, the militia, would be maintained for the defense of the state."

"The very language of the Second Amendment refutes any argument that it was intended to guarantee every citizen an unfettered right to any kind of weapon he or she desires."

What exactly was the state armies, the militia? People want to interpret a well regulated militia by today's terms, but George Mason gave the definition in the Virginia Declaration of Rights.

That a well regulated militia, composed of the body of the people, trained to arms, is the proper, natural, and safe defense of a free state; that standing armies, in time of peace, should be avoided as dangerous to liberty; and that, in all cases, the military should be under strict subordination to, and be governed by, the civil power.

But no, it doesn't guarantee an unfettered right to any kind of weapon and the NFA is evidence of that.
 
And as usual, the issue turns to guns. Let's completely ignore the mental illness angle and the possible impact of psychotropic drugs. The next time there's one of those ads for the latest anti-depression medication, pay attention to the fine print of the announcers speeding through the side effects.

Would it be better that she went in with a knife like has happened in China or drove a truck through a parade?

It turns to guns because it is the elephant in the room 30 to 50% of the population refuses to address. I never said we shouldnt disregard mental illness. I specifically mentioned it needs to be one of the issues addressed as well. But lets not pretend like the US is the only issue with mental illness. There are also massive differences between a knife attack and an attack from an ar15.

rifles kill less than 500 people per year. While hands, fists, feet kill over 650.

Yall arent worried about saving lives. You want to take guns. Just be honest.

You are far more likely to die from a punch than a ar15. Facts!

How many times have you seen the talking heads at the alphabet channels railing about mental health vs guns? Do you think the method of slaughter makes any difference to the families of the victims?

Since there obviously isn't the political will to address what a minority of people believe to be a factor, how about addressing what the majority can agree is a factor?
 
Then why does a certain side fight Red Flag laws and other mental health initiatives?? Since it’s mental health after all.

Yeah, and I'm also telling you as gun ownership increased, gun homicides decreased! Amazing huh?!?

It's almost as if... when people are in gun-free zones (or where gun ownership is severely restricted... such as liberal cities)... criminals know that and take advantage of it. Yet, when criminals don't know if the other person(s) around them have a gun... they might be hesitant to use a gun themselves.

Almost like the point that Massie made yesterday when he was being shouted down... when you have an armed security person at school... school shootings go down.

Crazy stuff huh?
