No, the player who knows the route tree and offense is the better player than who doesn’tSo tate who just started getting reps at wr a week ago is a better option than payton?

Here is my assumption. With Tate having played QB, he knows all the plays and routes for every receiver position which makes him valuable if someone went down.So tate who just started getting reps at wr a week ago is a better option than payton?
From what I saw..they didn’t just let Tate run free..I get what your saying in theory..but I did not see Florida plate him like a wild cat, put Malik out wide situation..did he make a catch no, but he didn’t look stupid or like he shouldn’t be out there..that’s jmoAlot of you are missing the point. Everytime Tate is on the field as an actual WR its one less guy the D has to worry about. He’s not a threat to catch the ball.
Doesnt matter if you know the routes if you can't run them. No, the player who knows the route tree and offense is the better player than who doesn’t
Thomas and Pope play the same position. Here come the excuse makers with Pope was injured. Even with his injury why not put Thomas at slot the rest of the way and Wiggins or Hightower outside. It never happened. We heard all off-season how guys were working different positions we go to the guy who had been practicing at WR for a week. This wasn't about Pope's injury. This was 100% favoritism and it was disappointing to see. Hopefully this isnt an all season thing.
Some of y’all just don’t know football. Tate being on the field as a DECOY certainly made a difference on the DJ runs. That was the game plan THIS WEEK. Pope and whomever else will have their opportunities.
Stfu
go back and watch the defenders reactions that opened up a crease.
DISAGREE. The only thing the lizards saw after Martell's first wasted play was, "a player we don't have to account for".
Tate played because of an injury. Tate is also a threat/decoy that defenders pay attention to. Whether they should or not is a question.
Tate Martell cost this team nothing in this game. Jeff Thomas cost the team 14 points, Baxa cost the team 3 points, and the offensive line and play calling cost the team everything. At no point did Martell lose this game, at no point did he help win the game. The amount of whining about him is astounding.
Huge mistake by Enos.
HUGE.
Complete waste of player available on field.
Can see other WRs transferring if he ever steps foot in active game play again.
go back and look. At least 2 gators took a false step that opened a crease for DJ.

tate was on the field for running plays. How is that a WR wasted???
Again. I just disagree that Martell has anything to do with it.
All good.
no doubt Tate was a focal point in the Gator preparation. That’s the only reason he was on the field as a decoy. I’m willing to bet on that.
