Mark Richt Hurricane Hotline Interview 12/10 questionable comments

Isn't this almost a breach of contract? Not coaching in good faith or something? I'm obviously not a lawyer so this is not rhetorical

This is obviously disappointing, but you indicated he would use 8 of the 15 on the opponent, did he say he would use the other seven as "general" practices if there is such a thing, or is he gonna give the team the time off?

He said they would use 8. 4 here and 4 in New York. He doesn't like using practices for the spring. So probably not.

And people have the audacity to neg when a comment is dropped about Mark Richt being legitimately terrible at prepping for games. He's got a long track record of showing up abnormally flat for games he has plenty of time to prep for.

He's just a ****** coach at this point. Not much more needs to be said. He's just a ****** coach.

When you consider that for 10 of the 12 games you get no where near 8 practices and that the players need rest after the season and its finals, that argument wouldn't hold up.

Can we please never again talk about the importance of the extra bowl practices? This lump Sleepy doesn’t want to be bothered with them.

With football now essentially being year round, it's the most overrated thing. This team checked out long ago. An extra two weeks of practice isnt going to do much for what ails this program

You implement a playbook in 7on7 and the spring and then perfect it in camp leading to the season. He can add some wrinkles here and there but for anyone that thinks he is changing his playbook in 15 days is delusional.
No dude they’re hoping he can get his team to better execute his existing playbook in 15 days.

That may be dillusional too, I know.

If practices do not matter and teams do not improve with practice then why do all the coaches everyone consider elite (Saban, Dabo, Meyers) use these extra bowl practices? Why does the NCAA limit the amount of practices and time on the filed that coaches can have with their team? Why are teams only allotted a spring practice and they can’t just practice anytime they want during the off-season.

You guys take things out of context for no reason. No one is claiming that the team will be world beaters in 15 days, but if you think some players won’t improve with the extra practices then it tells a lot about your real understanding of football.

And in case you didn’t know they can practice all phases of the game not just offense even though that’s clearly an area we need to be practicing on. Regardless of what playbook we use units like our Oline can still work on fundamentals and getting some extra reps with some of the young players we will be depending on next season.

Dude. Of course they need the practice, I was Saying that w that coaching staff it might not matter.

In his defense, he's never really needed them because he's never had to prep for a national title game.

Is it so hard for Joe apologist and Don apologist to ask a question remotely resembling a concern about the offense. Will these guys ever do their job in a way that they are also committed to the fan base that ultimately pay their salaries.
