I'm not doubting you but when we beat out OSU for Fletch and Justin Scott was it because of money? Did OSU go broke? It is always about money. Every time. Dont be naive
You could say the same for American Heritage as well but we have had more success there.I think it's an STA thing as well. They have so many kids at that school who go play sports in college...not just FBS football but what....several hundred kids across their athletic department go play sports in college, and almost all of them leave the area.
Now, most don't have the opportunity to stay home. If you play lacrosse, you don't have much of a choice. But still, for decades that place has just been a carousel of playing sports at STA and then heading off to college in another state. I know Roger personally, and he followed the same blueprint. Again, he didn't have a Miami offer, but he was great at STA and went to BU (and then Villanova), then came home.
I could be totally wrong here, but it just seems like the kids there inherently go elsewhere, for the most part. Even if it's to Gainesville or Tally, I just feel like over the past 20 years, Miami has gotten WAY less of it's share from STA than it "should" have. I'm sure they don't blatantly push kids out of town, but it just seems like that's the blueprint they almost all follow.
head to head elko has beaten mario for more recruits than vice versa
Tell your son to take up golf and use those grades to go to a good school (like UM). His knees will thank him in his 50’s.My son, 6'5" 310, 2027 IOL, (still growing), 4.4 GPA would do anything to play and be coached at UM. He missed most of his junior year due to injury, so he's playing catch up in the recruiting game. More than likely he'll end up at a DII or FCS school. When he saw the news yesterday he quite simply said, "If you're an OL why would you pick anywhere else?" He then followed that up with, "UM is a beautiful place with everything you could ever want." My son gets it but he's been a Cane fan his entire life. And I will admit it sucks following recruiting when you have a loved one going through it and struggling to get looks.

If he does that he will make way more money if he is actually the goods. If not he should stay and be overpaid. But if he’s a future top 3 pick then hit the portal and reset your market. Someone will pay itSay he goes TAMU and receives his millions, then reality hits and he realizes there’s nothing in Texas but a boring place especially not raised in that type of nothingness. This was always my theory. Kid doesn’t want to play second fiddle to Cantwell.
I and when he portals for more millions does he have to give TSMU there wasted millions or can he continue to portal and accumulate bank ?
Just a thought
Too reasonable! One thing I do not doubt about Mario. He isn’t just tucking himself in a corner and crying about it. Guy loves optics. He’ll swing back before the cycle is overLONG time between now & December. Play ball, keep recruiting, & keep up the momentum of the magical 2025 season. That’s all u can do
Then he should immediately fix the optics that are currently so trash when there has been so much on field success.Too reasonable! One thing I do not doubt about Mario. He isn’t just tucking himself in a corner and crying about it. Guy loves optics. He’ll swing back before the cycle is over
Win and they’ll come was pre NIL. We just aren’t good with timing around hereThen he should immediately fix the optics that are currently so trash when there has been so much on field success.
I would do your very best to get that film in front of miami coaches. PWO is certainly on the table with what you posted above….. miami is expensive as **** so understand if that’s not realistic but certainly worth a shot with those ^ measurables
That's a great point...Tell your son to take up golf and use those grades to go to a good school (like UM). His knees will thank him in his 50’s.
he doesnt even play LT at St Thomas so that goes out the window lol.
I personally dont think the money was the same.
Also think its a visit high and maybe wanting to see something else for college.
