MaRiO NeEds his OwN GuYs

Well, I disagree. We have tried coaches from different backgrounds with different philosophies, and they all fail.

Ultimately, I know you're a good dude with good intentions, and I think our opinions are closer than it might seem. I'm just willing to give Mario the benefit of the doubt with more time. The program we're trying to get back to is going to take a lot of work.
I cant name a good one honetsly we tried since COKER.

Almost every coaching hire has had the board not even split but more completely against...To be honest Mario is the closest one to being over split on.
I thought Richt was who he was at UGA and seen what he was here for rather early.

The one i WANTED to be succesful was Randy Shannon for personal reasons. I didnt want Manny as head man...Golden f*ck no........ Im one that didnt buy in on Mario first I was driving the Lane Train and picking up passengers.

Im giving the benefit of the doubt as he has caused them to throw money from admin and got boosters involved. We have no choice though as he will be here for a minimum of 4 -5 years. Im still gonna go at him though without kiddie gloves because alot of posters seem to want to coddle him but didnt do so with previous coaches.

The pac 12 sucks for 1.

For 2 you conveniently leave off all these **** teams are winning with guys at key positions. Just saying a guy here or there isnt proving the point. They are BIG reasons teams have won from Amari Cooper to James Cook.

I already pointed out we currently suck and 50 percent of our starters arent from South florida currently. We are being led by a qb from CT and a linebacker on defense from Houston.

We arent getting the right kids from else where either. @DMoney i see what youve had to go through..these posters just dont understand.

What i want to know is what is your suggeston then?. Like give me a plan moving forward in recruiting from here on out?. We do know the south florida kids suck..so where will be our new main recruiting base in your opinion ..where would you throw your recruiting budget money to Z(city/state wise)

@WanderFranco the bolded

Gogeta spitting facts!!!!

We haven't had a good coach since before butch came. Butch was a great recruiter and terrible coach.

Lane was the coach we should of invested this money in. He is Miami football. Doesn't give a **** and will tell you that.

I wanted lane or Clawson from wake. Clawson would have our offense putting up 50.

Sure thing. I don't think there necessarily has to be a "base" city or area. If you go down Alabama's roster, they have in-state guys, but they're not all from Birmingham and its suburbs. They go find guys in any **** ant town in Alabama. Get the best we can get out of south Florida, sure, but quit thinking that this DB from Broward is better than that DB from Lanett, Alabama because "south Florida". Go find dudes wherever they are.

Baseball does the same, and it's probably worse. We can't get out of a regional, but our staff thinks south Florida showcase heroes are just better. They are not.

Of course, Lane went 5-5 in his first year and it took Clawson 8 years to get past 8 wins. Somehow they needed more than five games to get things going. But not at Miami. Everything is ready for year one if we could just find the right guy.

Lol you think lane or Clawson had miami talent or tvd. Hilarious

Have we said we demand perfection? No i demand not losing to unc or mtsu. Pretty simple.

That's a flawed argument. They now have their programs where they want them to be able to win. They were not able to just coach their way to wins in year one, or in Clawson's case, year 7. But this board seems to think that it's all about coaching. You can change it right away by just coaching.

Clawson scored 10 points against 4-8 La-Monroe in year one. Why didn't he just coach them up? Why did he have one of the worst offenses in the country in year 2? Coach them!

Dave Clawson after 7 years: 40-45, but he would be elite in year one with our decimated recruiting classes.

Butch wasn't a terrible coach...c'mon man....Terrible coaches don't Win 2 SB Rings in Dallas coaching the #1 Defense in the NFL.
Terrible coaches don't beat the Defending NCs in 2000 (FSU)... and then Destroy an Excellent UF team led by Spurrier in 2001.
Terrible coaches don't evaluate, recruit and develop the Greatest Team in NCAA History, and at the same time put together UMs best staff ever. All the so-called "Great Coaches" wanted NOTHING to do with UM in 95....Funny how he was so terrible, that we haven't been the same since his "Terrible" evaluations left in 2004. Did he have flaws & weaknesses??...Absolutely...but he MORE than made up for them in other phases, that the so-called Great coaches haven't done since he left UM...He was so terrible, that last Saturday when he entered Watsco, EVERY former UM Great player & Coach from the 87 NC team flocked to him like a magnet.

He went 3-9 and 3-9 his first 2 years at Wake. He was then anointed the 2nd coming of Christ and his **** was bronzed and put on display outside their stadium.

None of that matters. Especially where you live. What matters is that he needed time...a whole lot of time...to even be respectable. He couldn't score against bad teams for two years. The stuff takes time. He didn't just "coach" his way to scoring points.

The biggest favor you can do for yourself is to quit thinking we have "talent" just because of the U on the helmet.

As a gameday coach butch was terrible. Homie i love butch.

I just had a hour long conversation with his starting QB at unc Renner. Renner said his coaching was terrible but everything else was great. Renner also coached under him at FIU for 5 years.

Has nothing to do with the U.

Look up blue chip ratio. We are top 20 and losing to mtsu.
