Manny Navarro on Jaccuri

So if Dawson tells him to get on the field, he is telling the coaches he won't play because he's transferring? I'm confused why a desire to transfer would affect a coach's decision to use him or not.

The way people are describing it it’s as if they don’t want him to risk any injury and have it affect his transfer destination.
But who wants him? He hasn’t put a lot of film on to say he has a lot of people wanting him to be the starter on a power five team. I assume after being here and redshirting he’s not gonna want to go compete for a job somewhere when that’s what he can do here.

As far as not wanting to risk injury, he can also get injured in practice.
.
If brown leaves now, he’ll be going to another place where he’s gonna compete for a spot and if he doesn’t make it, he’s stuck. They took this year to develop, not get injured, and a brand new QB competition in spring. If he doesn’t make it, he still has options.
That’s actually pretty smart on his behalf, and pretty fair from the coaching staff.

But in my opinion, the very last thing you want is for Brown to leave and end up a superstar on another team.
Ohio State doesn’t get criticized for Joe Burrow but we would get crucified if Brown ends up being an elite quarterback at another team.

When he was recruited, I almost got banned by the pumpers on here for saying he will be a great TE. And I fully expect that to be true, at a different school. The kid has about as much natural throwing ability as Obama.
Dude looks like a specimen in person (pause), just looks like a different type of athlete. The sooner he can accept this the sooner he can get on a track like a logan thomas who has earned 27 mil+ in career earnings..

Just listened to Navarro discussing Jaccuri and he said the only reason that Miami isn't playing him is because he's transferring and doesn't want to get hurt before entering the portal. Basically that's the only plausible reason that he hasn't played. Actually makes a lot of sense. One place I would not want to see him is FSU. If Norvell did what he did with Travis imagine how good Jaccuri would be.

Can you imagine Mario being cool with this? Like how does this make any sense?

Norvell is an excellent offensive coach. I agree that he could really turn Jaccuri around. Look at Jonny Wilson and Jaheim Bell and the way Norvell schemes them open. I see him using Jacurri in similar fashion.

OSU doesn’t get criticized for Burrow bc their QB room was loaded. In the very unlikely scenario Brown goes on to become a superstar at an elite P5 level, it’s gonna look bad bc the QB room here is garbage and he still didn’t play.

yeah it doesn't really work that way,if he was refusing to play he would have been kicked off the team. he MIGHT transfer, but it won't be an elaborate all-season plan, coaches wouldn't have put up with it

why is it so hard for people to believe that emory and TVD are better than him? the coaches see them all participate every day in practice... we got a whiff of jacurri last year and it wasn't spectacular, he just isn't as good as the other two
I agree that it's unlikely he's refusing to play.

On your 2nd point. Jaccuri asked to redshirt at the beginning of the season. That automatically made him 3rd string.

We don't know what he can do because we haven't seen him in a game this year. There's no way he could play worse than TVD. I don't want to hear anything about a few throws during the Spring game. His entire future has been judged on a Spring game and 2 starts as a true freshman.

There's something else going on that we don't know. I'm sure we'll find out at the end of the season. I do think he transfers.

It's just such a shame that the staff is letting a really talented player leave the program. For it to get to a point where he is even thinking about transferring, the coaches had to basically say, "Despite all his elite athletic skills, as the HC and OC, we can't develop him."

Let someone like a Kiffin or a Heupel get a hold of Jaccuri and see how he winds up. There will be plenty of CIS tears to fill Hard Rock stadium.

It just amazes me of the stereotypes and double standards we still see today. Jaccuri and Emory both started 2 games as true freshmen. Emory was 8 for 23 against FSU and Jaccuri was 6/13 against Clemson. Nobody is saying Emory can't throw yet that's the label put on Jacurri. It's such a double standard.

For the record, I think both will develop into quality P5 starters. It was just unfair to burn both their redshirts as freshmen, when they wouldn't be realistic starters until year 3-4 in their careers. With a redshirt, that would provide 2-3 years as a starter.

If you get beat out by a guy who's in the class behind you, then you need to transfer out if you wanna see the field.

Ain’t sifting through all this **** but I thought he played in one so far, we knew before the season he would shirt and so now I expect him to get reps in every single game going forward.

With no Williams and Brown who we agreed to shirt you give Van Dyke an opportunity to find himself and provide tape for Don Brown.

Jacurri, with no meaningful snaps this year to date can and should still play in every game with no ACCCG in play.

On with your puke emojas

Have we discussed what’s going to happen in the bowl game if by chance the Jacurri rumors are true and TVD says f it, I don’t want to play because I’m going to end up transferring too?
Gonna be funny when the fanbase is mad at them and not mario lol

You guys keep saying this ****. Jaccuri was redshirting this year because they burned his redshirt last year playing him in games like Bethune where he just handed the ball off in the 4th quarter. He wasn't going to burn another year being TVD's backup.

The plan was for him to redshirt this year while TVD had his last year before going to the NFL.

Y'all sleeping on the young man. When he develops, he'll be one of the top QBs. He'll just be on the opposite sideline.

Just look around college football at some of the QBs who have developed. Travis, Penix Jr (My Heisman pick), Nix, Pratt, Daniels, Milroe, Sanders. All weren't that good as freshmen or even sophomores.
